@fulltimegeek's #stewardsofgondor - Weekly delegate stats!

in #stewardsofgondor7 years ago

In a selfless act of monumental proportions, @fulltimegeek's Steem Power is currently delegated to around 50 users to help curate and support communities across Steemit.

If you have received an up-vote from myself, or anyone else in the following list over the past month or so, then you have @fulltimegeek to thank for the much larger vote you have been gifted.

If you wish to know 'why?' someone would loan out this Steem Power, you can find out here.

Loaning out your Steem Power to Bid-bots?

In last weeks' blog, I had a conversation with @coolguy123 regarding loaning out his stake to a Bid-bot. @coolguy123 wished to confirm if this was a viable option for him, and following the discussion he decided to withdraw his loan back to his account in order to provide more up-votes to worthy content.

The result of this (I think) was an additional delegation to the both of us from @fulltimegeek. As often is the case, actions speak louder than words. Thank you @fulltimegeek!

Loaning out your Steem Power to other users/communities?

If you are doing this then you are a mini @fulltimegeek and winning!

Many stewards are now delegating Steem Power to worthy minnows and giving them additional power, which they can in turn use to support their communities. Well done everyone who is paying it forward in this manner!

Should we have a list of Stewards delegating SP to other users? If so, I may need your help each week to keep it updated.

To the numbers we go!

Well done to @cranium who has made over 1100 comments this past week - top interacting!

@taskmaster4450 leads the way yet again with an enormous amount of Comment text totaling 146599 characters - hail keyboards!

@hitmeasap, @cecicastor, @abh12345, @coolguy123, @lyndsaybowes, @crimsonclad, and @teamhumble have all handed out over 1000 votes this past week - up-vote legends!

@howtostartablog and @teamhumble - Master stewards of goodwill to all with over 1000 unique Steemians reached with votes this past week - sharing the love!

Summary

Stewards, how do you think you've done this week?

This past week I was lucky enough to receive a further delegation from @fulltimegeek (Thank you!!) and so I made a further effort to spread my vote and managed to appear in the Star Stewards list.

I think there is a balance in this 'Votes category' between going to thin and too thick with the vote weight. 1000 Votes, VP above 90%, and the SP I hold allowed me to give a minimum of 10 cents with every vote. Again, there is no right amount to cast, and I think it is dependent on the SP you have to some extent.

If you think there would be a place for other data to be added please let me know in the comments and i'll see what I can do.

Thank you @fulltimegeek!

On checking the delgations each week, I am noting FTG becoming more active in adjusting the the delegation amounts. This is great to see and is encouragement to continue try to do our best for the Steemit community.

As usual, more thanks than words can provide to the the lord of the steems, the @fulltimegeek.

Thank you so much!

Until next time, steem on Stewards!

AWESOME job! @cranium -1100 comments! WHOLLY SCHMOLLY!

@taskmaster4450 is the writing and commenting guru!!! Not sure how I upped you the other week but WOW! 140K?

@hitmeasap, @cecicastor, @abh12345, @coolguy123, @lyndsaybowes, @crimsonclad, and @teamhumble - all with 1k votes or more! I just hit over 500! IMPRESSIVE all of you!

Fan-fabu-tastic job all SOGs!

And again thanks @abh12345 for continuing to keep us updated every week. Seeing the numbers and advancement of all the SOGs is astounding!

And to FTG... your generosity will never cease to amaze me on this venture. You have given me such an inner comfort of knowing how many people you have honored us to touch and boost on steemit. Bright blessings to you!

They say content is king.

We need to fill up some virtual space.....

Type type and type some more.

Thanks for the kind words. You also worked very well.

Some sky high numbers this week for sure!

It's my pleasure to produce this blog each week, especially as I know it is anticipated and used as a guide for the Stewards.

A great comment for @fulltimegeek to read too, thanks Dawn!

Thanks for putting this together @abh12345.

I know it is a bit of work to do it. It is a great tool to see how the total team is doing. Those are some high numbers, that is for sure.

What is really encouraging is this group, on a site that is in desperate need of them, is posting over 1,000 comments per day. That is a lot of writing. If everyone on the site average the same 25 or so comments a day, this place would be enourmous.

Thanks for all you do...another fine report.

My pleasure, thanks for your input and support.

I guess with the delegations and weekly reporting, there is a lot more incentive to comment and vote for others, and obviously not everyone can be so 'lucky' - at least not on this scale.

Comments though (as you are well aware), are where red fish and minnows should begin their journey. Replying on blogs is still important for dolphins if they wish to grow their user reach, and so this should be the incentive (which some still seem to miss).

Cheers!

I agree completely @abh12345.

All newer people should be commenting as often as they can....legit comments that apply to the articles.....not just the nice post..thanks garbage.

I believe 20 per day is a bare minimum a newer person should do if he or she is serious.

I just looked at your list there and 17 of the people on there averaged that (and they have many other things they are doing that a new person doesnt need to do) with another 5 or so not far away.

It can be done..it is just a matter of dedication.

Yes, time and dedication to finding something worthwhile to say.

I remember commenting returning far more votes, financial value, and followers than my posts when a first started out - this was the case for months.

Thanks for you comments, always insightful.

By the way, I left the full Stewards of Gondor...

I am now only 9/10 of one since I delegated almost 10% of @fulltimegeek's delegation.

We need another category on the spreadsheet....showing what percentage of people are leaving the nest. :)

You don't actually delegate @fulltimegeeks steem, but rather your own. :) Your still 100% SOG my friend.

Hi Asher. As our #newbieresteemday community is a recipient of your SP delegation, I am in favor of a list of Stewards that delegate their SP to support a community. Afterall, everyone should be made aware the great deeds of the Stewards.

I am abashed to say I've never heard of the #stewardsofgondor until recently. There are minnow support projects that are commonly known, and all with great intentions, but as a red fish (not even a minnow), I've never been a direct or indirect recipient of the support they provide. It is through the Stewards of your community, such as yourself, Mr. Coolguy123, GoldenDawne, and indirectly, Mr. FullTimeGeek (no mention spamming here) that I've witnessed the kindness and support of individuals that truly want to help others and pay it forward.

Everyone should be made aware of your great community and the wonderful things the Stewards do to support all ranks of fishes. :)

Hi again. I appreciate you stopping by. Thank you for your support. :)

How can you stop by a contest and not play? We saved the X2 block for you, as our honorary sponsor. Plus, it's fitting. Awesome to the exponential of 2!

So Eagles 9 and Patriots 8 if you follow the Superbowl. If not, I'll ping you. Enjoy the game tomorrow @abh12345!

As an Englishman currently travelling, the Superbowl is not too high on my list of priorities. If you let me know what I need to do i'll try to get involved though!

I will take clear skies and sparking blue ocean over the Superbowl anytime! No need to do anything but enjoy your travels, but thank you.

Just wanted to let you know the X2 block is yours (in case you did follow the Superbowl and wanted to cheer). Tomorrow is going to be football mania in my state.

Safe travels!

haha :) x2 blocks - I don't even know what that is, but i'll take it!

Have a great day!

Lol, neither do I but don't tell my teammate that. Sports isn't my interest.

Have a great day! :)

Yes the delegation list is on my mind, it's just a difficult one to gather and present - It would be easier if everyone presented their own :)

I really glad to hear that the Stewards have interacted with you and the communities you are involved in.

Thank you! I am loving the percentage bar. I get to choose to whom I give 100% upvotes and to whom I give less, like 50%. I typically upvote less for comments. It's a fun feature and my own posts make a nice little profit off the bat of between 0.20 and 0.30 depending on the price of SBD and Steem. I truly appreciate having been gifted the delegation and I feel I have a lot more freedom with the upvote feature. I ca give out more upvotes knowing that those who I want to receive a high upvote will still get my 100% upvote.

Great!

That's what it's there for, spreading your vote and managing the weight appropriately amongst comments and votes.

You should be rewarding comments on your blogs, to increase return visits, and sadly this seems less of an option without the slider and the 10 vote limit.

I'm glad you are enjoying this extra freedom :D

Yeah. Thanks for the tip, about upvoting comments. I used to do it a lot but it was bringing me down to 0% so I stopped. I'm not in the habit anymore, but I used to see it as hitting Like on some of the best comments on my posts.

Yes it's good to try and order comments by quality, sort of like setting an example of what you are about. Glad you are doing this again 😊

See what I did just there? lol

Thank you @fulltimegeek for the fresh delegations along with increasing the earlier ones as well.

Thank you @abh12345 for yet another week's details and yes, the decision to take back the delegation from SmartSteem after a discussion with you has turned out to be a satisfactory one. I appreciate your help whenever I need to take a decision.

Congratulations to all the toppers especially new toppers like @howtostartablog and @teamhumble for the hail the keyboards category.

As for my details, for last week, in an effort to increase my commenting scores, I visited almost all the blogs which got published under #stewardsofgondor tag and drained my voting power because of that and hence there is a little lesser stats for me as for as hail the keyboards category is concerned, but in the mean time, I have doubled my comments score and that is something I would like to continue.

Frankly speaking, last week was a very fruitful for me for many reasons, first, I got the additional SP delegation, thanks to @fulltimegeek. Second, I got to interact with many SOG's with whom I never had an interaction previously.

Looking forward to the curation league as I badly missed those for last couple of weeks.

Congratulations to all for continual inspiration.

Hi @coolguy123

last week was a very fruitful for me for many reasons, first, I got the additional SP delegation, thanks to @fulltimegeek. Second, I got to interact with many SOG's with whom I never had an interaction previously.

I'm very happy to read this, and I hope too to spend more time in the blogs of other Stewards - something I feel I am guilty of not doing.

I'm glad you found the discussion and the previous week to be a good one, even if you did miss out on the curation league - hopefully you will be back in this week.

Thank you!

Yes, the interaction with other SOG's is turning out to be a more helpful one for me. Will be trying to increase the comments/words count with more interactions and also increase the number of upvotes.

Not sure whether I will be part of curation leagues by next week as well, as I am closer to getting 450 SP of my own and would like to delegate to atleast 3 deserving ones.
Any guidance on this from others would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you for producing these reports week on week, the improvement in SOG's is increasing as the stats show that.

I did some number crunching on what @taskmaster4450 has done. Assuming that he works 40 hours a week on steemit, he is averaging 12.21 words for every minute he spends on line. No time to read anything at that rate! So either he is a machine or @taskmaster4450 is a group of people. I wonder if there is a room of monkeys in his house that is helping him punch out all those characters too! lol

Obviously I'm just kidding. Impressive work my friend. Keep it up and you will need a smoke detector for your keyboard. Bravo to you for interacting so much with people. It is that kind of dedication that builds a reputation with others. We all like to have people respond to us and you show people directly that you not only value what they have to say, but you are willing to spend a lot of time interacting with them. I think that shows a lot of character and builds strong relationships which results in a strong community! That is what makes Steemit stronger and less susceptible to bullies and violence. Bravo to you and all those who were on fire this week on their keyboards.

That's a bit slow for a typist ;)

Judging by his consistency with words I would say it's just one guy who is a task master - efficient and direct.

He certainly knows what works on Steemit - Interaction in comments is key for building your tribe and becoming a part of one, or many.

Thanks for the comments @wwf, and have yourself a lovely week!

I can type at 90 words a minute but not over 40 hours in a week. I suspect I probably type at that rate too when I also have to account for all the reading and research that I do as well. He definitely fits his user name! Thanks for putting in the stats each week. Nice work!

I was very much waiting for your post. I doubted that I could beat the number of 1000 comments. When I saw the number of 1165 comments, I was in shock. I am very glad that I was able to achieve my goal. Now, I'll rest a little. Good luck to you and kind regards.

Я очень сильно ждал Вашего поста. Я сомневался, что смогу побить цифру в 1000 комменатриев, а тут - сразу 1165. Я очень рад, что смог добиться своей цели. Теперь, я немного отдохну. Удачи вам и Добра.

You have been very busy this week @cranium - Congratulations on reaching your goal!

Thank you for your kind words. Good Luck and kind regards.

Thanks for doing these statistics every week. Keeps me on the edge :P

My pleasure :)

And yes, it's certainly motivation to keep up what we are doing - as we should be with this gift!

Congratulations on the additional delegation. It's well deserved. Keep steeming.

Thank you very much @greenrun and you too!

You are much welcome; contrary to some beliefs hard work still get some rewards attached to it.

Thank you again for putting so much hard work into collecting all our stats. I do think your posts help me feel encouraged to keep working hard. I don't think I'll ever be able to make over 1000 comments! Wow! I do love to see that even more people are also delegating steem power to pay the gift forward.

My comments are down but I've been busy with college writing papers. I've been spending time I do have rewarding good commenters to make up for it which seems to be a tactic that is encouraging people to leave good comments. I've notice the quality of comments I receive going up and people putting more effort into being conversational which is so awesome. Some are writing HUGE paragraphs!

Writing great quality posts is important but encouraging interaction has become a goal of mine now that I'm seeing people trying to connect better. It's nice to know we're all helping to encourage the development of a community that interacts by receiving such an amazing gift from @fulltimegeek. It's helping support those who make this place great.
