Anatomy: How Does The Male Brain Different From The Female?

Many people have views that women and men have fundamentally different ways of thinking. Generally a woman lives by feelings, a man guided by logic. Women think in terms of images, while men are more inherent in abstract thinking. How to define these? Sometimes these differences are explained not by socio-cultural factors, but more appropriately by biological differences between the male and female brain. Size of the brain

The first difference, and perhaps the most notable should be the size of the brain. On average, in men, the brain is roughly 10% heavier than in women. Between these hemispheres is associated a special structure, called as"corpus callosum." Despite the fact that both hemispheres function as a single whole, in men and women they interact each other in different ways.

Perhaps we noticed that for a woman it is possible to perform several tasks at once, for example, reading an interesting book, watching the dinner being prepared, and watching the news from the corner of your eye? For Men it is difficult: they can solve only one particular task at a time, and then switch to the next one. This is due to a biological fact that in women the brain is more consolidated, and the corpus callosum is better developed compared to men. Perhaps, this could be the reason behind the notorious female intuition, because in the beautiful half of humanity logic and figurative thinking work as a single whole.
It is noticed that, often this feature becomes the reason of many of family quarrels. Possibly a man is not able to think and feel at the same time. Therefore, when a husband, busy with own affairs refuses to give her attention, it is not worth taking offense. For a man is quite difficult to switch immediately to "solving a new problem" that often involves the manifestation of feelings and emotions.

Biologists assume that such multitasking was developed in women during the process of evolution. After all, sometime at the dawn of humanity, the first representatives of Homo Sapiens had to do multitasking, such as, watch at the same time children, prepare food, make sure that enemies were not attacked on their native cave and also constantly analyzing the environment ... On the other hand men, however, need complete concentration on one task; during the hunt for in order to succeed, he should not be distracted in any way.

It is seen that men and women differently perceive the surrounding reality. While women see many details, men usually "grasp" the whole image, or gestalt. That's why it's so difficult for men to find a right product in a supermarket: the abundance of irritants just keeps them from concentrating, they literally are not able to see things that are under their noses. Women, however, shop and navigate in the store quite easily.

Such differences of perception also have their evolutionary explanation, connected with the division of labor in primitive communities. Initially men had to go for hunting and they had to focus on one goal, for example, on a mammoth. Women on the other hand acted as collectors: they went to the forest to pick berries, roots or fruits. Naturally, over a period the female perception under such conditions "was sharpened" on the perception of details.

Speech features

Perhaps, one of the major differences between the male and female brains can be speech characteristics. Women a day can say almost a ten times more words than men. For ladies, conversation is usually an independent action, while for men it is just a way of transmitting information. For sure, many may have noticed that women are able to spend hours chatting and discussing the events of the past day, describing their emotions and experiences. Men are almost impossible. It is very important for them to convey to their interlocutor a laconic message, or something to push to action or give advice. In addition, it can be seen that women are more sensitive to voice intonations and non-verbal messages. Men give more importance to the meaning of the words spoken.

Girls start talking earlier than boys, they talksay more words, also their speech is more fluent and ornate. Biologically, speech zones in the female brain are seen to be much larger and more complex than in the male brain. While talking, the woman uses both hemispheres, and for men - only the left. These features are again related to the evolution of the human species. At the start it has already been said more than once that the main "profession" of the primitive man was to go for hunting.
