Changes to challenge operation & reminders

This challenge was designed to work best for those who can take initiative and are self-motivated. If you are not following the guidelines, have skipped more than 3 days in a row and have not contacted me to explain your situation, are trying to post for past days after they have ended, etc. you have been removed from the official running. This is only in relation to the daily prizes, so of course all are welcome to participate in our classes each day in the discord! In other words, do not expect me to come to you and say "you have been removed from the challenge." It is your responsibility to follow the guidelines set forth and keep up with the updates. Also, if you attend classes you will be up to date with everything happening. A huge shout out to all the participants keeping up with this ambitious undertaking. You are awesome!

Class recap

Today's class was very exciting as we had guest teacher @geekorner lead our first session of "Critique Thursday." Many myths regarding to the oft-misunderstood art of critique were cleared up. We have a recording of the class which can be found in this post by @geekorner, so I will not provide too detailed of a synopsis at this juncture since you can check the class out for yourself if interested! However, I will mention we heard an explanation of the difference between editorial critique and impressionistic critique, the former being a more in-depth scrutiny of an unpublished piece and the latter a more holistic approach to a more finalized or already published piece. We looked at a few pieces in class which I will link to tomorrow once @geekorner makes his official post. We are planning to do this on a weekly basis, so bring your pieces that you want feedback on during class on Thursdays and we will do our best to get to it!

Tomorrow's class topic will be motivation. It will be broader class, not just regarding poetry but art and life in general. Please come take part on March 23 from 6 - 8 PM GMT. in our Steem schools live class: https://discord.gg/yZvYjfM

Gratitudes & reflections

As I mentioned before, this challenge was designed to be a bit of extra fuel for those wanting to take their poetic practice to the next level. It works best for those already strongly motivated in this area, as it requires a lot of perseverance and grit to maintain the perpetual motion of daily creation, editing, and sharing.

In life, YOU are the only one that can make the decision to pursue greatness. Yet, as a community, we can also band together with others who have chosen this path and watch our resolve grow ever stronger day by day. Although we have many differences, it is what we share that is most precious.

In my experience, these sentiments seemingly idealistic are capable of being manifested. It doesn't matter whether one is an optimist or a cynic. Self-definitions fall by the wayside in the face of actualization. Life is quite mechanical in its operation: consistency & discipline work for all alike, when practiced properly.

Congratulations to all the winners of these two days and off course one should tell the organizer of this contest why skip three consecutive days. i do personally feel that this contest has changed me lot in all 16 days and encouraged me to write in international language ( English), Credit offcourse goes to you the beautiful Soul @d-pend ;)

Congrats all. I am looking forward to reading these winning entries.

Thanks again for keeping us updated @d-pend. It has been a long week. I'm glad for your mention of community. Without the support of community here I am totally lost.

Congratulations to all winners! All love to all participants.

I really appreciate this opportunity to share my poetry with such an amazing literary group. #SteemitSchoolPoetry is just a great initiative. This challenge is really demanding, but it has made me happy indeed, and getting to win today just makes it sweeter.
Special thanks to @d-pend and the sponsors. You’re doing a great job! ♥♥♥

Thanks!

I have come across some beautiful poets due to this challenge. Kudos to all those who are still in the game !! It takes a lot of effort to stay in a 100 day competition!! Even staying in it is a win - win !!

So all those who haven’t won a prize are also a winner in my eyes 😃

Congratulations to all the participants!!! Keep up the good work :)

And thanks to Daniel for allowing people to show their talent 😄

Happy to hear this word of encouragement thanks a lot ......

It is my intent to be in class tomorrow. ;)

Thank you for selecting my entry. You really motivate me to write daily

I should have developed an interest towards writing poems in my childhood days..Now I don't even know to enjoy the poetry! But Congratulating the winners who have dedicated to participate in this challenge for 100 odd days..In btw I'm there in the aforementioned discord channel but haven't listened to anything yet..In which channel this audio is being broadcasted?

Bro, I started to write poetry 3 days before this competition, and I won 2 times already. I'm just trying to say that no matter how good/experienced you are, you can always try to write it. Practice everyday and you'll become better and better..
We have live poetry class in #Steem-Schools-live voice channel on Discord group ;)

Where there's a will, there's always a way ;)

I really wish I could have taken part in this contest. But I definitely will in the future. I only came across this like a few days ago, after the competition had ended. I'll be taking place in the next one for sure.

I competed the first 6 days but for lack of time I left .. I will write poems for the challenge.
congratulations to the winners
