[vlog # 14] Better Results | Curation & Fun | High-Quality Content

in #steemit6 years ago (edited)

Hooray Readers! Bringing yet another fun and crazy video to the community - Mr.P on Video!

On today's video I'd like to talk about how you can achieve better results on the Steem blockchain by finding support from key projects out there, which will not only lead on your posts getting the recognition they deserve, but you'll also make great friends and earn some extra cents.

I know how hard it is to navigate on the Steem blockchain when we first start out, and we may end up losing a lot of opportunities simply because we didn’t know about them. For that reason I made a list with the first 5 projects that helped me and that can also help you on your journey. This information can also be useful for some veterans who are looking for some fun ways to share photographies or maybe their travel reports.

I must make it clear, however, that this is not a tutorial on how to make easy bucks, as all of the projects listed here will require high-quality material written by you. Enjoy!

Projects - Video Summary

1. Curie

@curie is a voluntary organization which supports the development and growth of new and existing authors on the Steem blockchain. What does that mean? It means that they are here to reward you, if you take content creation seriously - they value progress based on talent.

Their Goals are:

  • To discover and reward undiscovered but exceptional content by persistent creators with limited success;
  • To empower quality curators;
  • To develop a curation community on Steem;
  • To build communities;
  • To serve as a community witness.

This Steem legend will for sure be a great boost if you are starting out and all you gotta do to find support from @curie is to post ORIGINAL and HIGH-QUALITY articles - they will find you sooner or later. A tip to help them find you is using the right relevant tags about your subject and be sure to give the most out of yourself.

2. TravelFeed / Cyclefeed

If you are a travel blogger or a cyclist that is having a hard time breaking through on Steemit, then @TravelFeed and its partner project @CycleFeed are here to help you. Even though they work independently, they follow the same principles.

Both are curation projects focused on granting better visibility and rewarding those who produce high-quality travel / cycling content on the Steem blockchain.

On @TravelFeed they will look for posts under #travelfeed and if it passes the manual curation proccess they'll resteem and upvote the best five travel posts each day. Each upvote comes with upvotes from their trail of followers, so the reward is GREAT. Also, they have daily round-ups to showcase the best texts out there, which gives even more rewards and visibilty for those who take travel content creation seriously.

On the other hand @CycleFeed follows the same principles and ideas of @travelfeed (reward and highlight), the difference is that it’s focused on helping all the cyclists across the Steem blockchain. They use the same methods of curation and their curation tag is #cyclefeed.

All you gotta do to participate on @travelfeed is write your ORIGINAL travel stories in english, have 250 plus words and use the tag #travelfeed. For @cyclefeed the same rules are applied but the tag is #cyclefeed. You can also find both communities under the name Steemit Travellers on Discord.

3. Steemit World Map

Still into the travelling space this next awesome project gives us the chance to share our stories in a creative and organized way, and also grants some extra rewards for newcomers and veterans.

@Steemitworldmap provides a place where you can feel connected to travelers from all over the globe and read their stories, while sharing your own. If you take a look on their web site down below you’ll see a selection of posts pinned all over the world map - those are Steemit users right there and you can be one of them, and be rewarded for that.

If you are already writing your travel stories on the Steem blockchain you can go to the map and pin your own post - it's all explained in the video.

This is another tip if you plan on posting your travel reports on the Steem blockchain, try the @SteemitWorldMap and maximize your visibility while having fun, but remember that they required high-quality content.

4.Czech Global Hosts

Jumping up on the photography niche on the Steem blockchain, a great way to have fun, share photographies, make friends and possibly earn some extra bucks is the @czechglobalhosts contests. A great tip for photographers right here, folks.

One of the main events on @czechglobalhosts is the amazing 7 world’s continent photo challenge. This challenge focused on photography brings each day a post asking for Steemians to share their own photography. Each day represents a continent and the best photo of the day (continent) will compete against the other days (continentes) for the best of the week, the winner prize is 20 SBD. Each weekly winner compete against each other for the best of the month granting a prize of 40 SBD. At the end of the year the absolute winner will end up earning up to 200 sbd in prizes. You also don’t need to be a winner to gain rewards, just by participating with an original quality photo you’ll quite sure receive an upvote from him, representing a good amount if you have just started out on the Steem blockchain.

If you are looking for this extra support on your journey make sure to upvote his posts, because this brave man is distributing hundreds of dollars in rewards each day!

5. OCD

During many times in my journey on Steemit I woke up to find a huge vote from this curious project called @OCD, it never left a comment, just a silent upvote, later I discovered their tag and how things work.

@ocd started with the intent to discover undervalued Steemit posts across all the niches, and provide them a platform to rise and shine. Being like that all you gotta do is to, again, create kickass original content.

For those who are just starting out and feel lost on the tag systems keep calm. To be found by the the OCD project you need to use their tag #ocd-resteem which, if you are good enough, will grant you a Resteem/Upvote from the @ocd account. It’s not certain, but when it happens you’ll be amazed by the huge boost.

The OCD project has helped me in the beginning and I’m sure they’ll help you too, remain patient and work as hard as you can to improve your posts so they can notice you.

Those were 5 projects that have helped me into boosting my rewards in the past, as you can see some of them I’m happy to be part of, other’s like the global hosts I still participate and other’s I can no longer apply because their focus is on lower reputation accounts.

If you keep positive and enthusiastic about sharing your content, allied with the tips I just gave you, I’m pretty sure that sooner or later you’ll be amazed on how much you can grow in a participative and genuine way.

Always remember that being part of communities and making friends is a huge part on anyone's Steem growth - join Discord channels, push yourself when it comes to quality and Steem on!

The continuation of this list depends on your feedback, so feel free to leave a comment. Would you like to see more posts like that?

If you liked this post, please, consider leaving your upvote for a hot coffee.

~Love ya all,

YES! Finding out what's out there and writing posts that are elegible for bigger votes helps huge! Curie is one of the reasons I stuck around the blockchain, and I'll forever be grateful for their support.

I believe the first Curie vote on our lives is almost a historical mark hahahaha
Now I gotta figure out a way to direct those beginners to those projects thinking

Thanks. This is tremendously helpful. I am considering the production of travel-related content, which would greatly benefit from your tips.

Those projects are really useful to find some recognition. When I first started I used to participate a lot on the @photocontests, but I think it's no longer active.

Photography is a great way to start out, doesn't require a lot of knowledge on formating and is a great way to fill the days where people don't want to bring a bigger article.

That's what I used to do, bring relevante texts 2-3 times a week and fill the spaces with photo contests.

I have found that i just love to share it all with everyone.
