Contest: Tell us what tools every steemit author should know - 5 Steem Basic Income shares as prizes

in #steemit6 years ago (edited)

Even if just for a bit, STEEM got past $1! Let's celebrate! I'm giving away five (5) shares to three lucky winners.

The contest

All you have to do is mention 3 very, very neat utilities every STEEM blockchain blogger should know about and tell us why it is so good. It can be a little niche, but not too much. Grab that power tool.

Rules:

  • You must link to three websites and write at least two lines of text for each, explaining what they can do and how it makes life easier for all of us writers.

  • Everyone can participate, but you'll be disqualified if your recent posts do not meet @steembasicincome requirements to be a member. I can't register you if you don't qualify.

  • If a qualifying comment is already mentioning all of the websites you chose to mention and their text is around just as good as yours, then you're one step behind already.

  • Being rude in this post, trying to harm an opponent in any way or paraphrasing other entries will get you disqualified.

Winners

  • Three entrants will be picked based on my personal opinion on every entry.
  • Two winners will get two shares and one winner will get one share.

Good luck, everyone.

Sort:

https://steemlookup.com/#/ This is generally used by Curie curators to find the best posts. This website shows you all the posts based on your search results incuding word count, specific words, pending payout and much more.

https://steembottracker.com/delegation.html - Many Steemians think delegation is complicated or are afraid they won't be able to get their SP back. This website shows exactly who you delegate to and is very easy to use for adjusting delegations. You will need Steemconnect for this.

https://steemdb.com/@kristyglas (replace username). I use this site to check resteems mostly, because if you take a post link and replace steemit.com with steemdb.com it will take you to a new page where you can check reblogs/resteems and even edit history. An example: https://steemdb.com/artzone/@kristyglas/-s6pgfajwgs

Gina bot- this one is a little more complex but it has saved me lots of time. Also I never miss any entries to my contests or mentions of me even without "@" for the username. I found a detailed tutorial here for how to set it up: https://steemit.com/ginabot/@dynamicgreentk/ginabot-how-to
It's especially useful for never missing posts of your favorite Steemians ^^

Good luck!

Thank you! ^-^

The three things I will mention here aren't so much websites, but initiatives here on Steemit that can be beneficial.

The first one is the Remind Bot. Ever start looking at a post then realise you don't quite have time right now but don't want to forget to come back to it? Then remind bit is for you. I actually used it at the bottom of this post (then came back later to read and edit my post to enter. https://steemit.com/@remind.bot

The second is one I'm an enormous fan of, and for new users that like to comment on posts, it's almost imperative to have a @dustsweeper account. Currently votes totalling less than 0.019 turn to "dust" on payout and you end up getting no reward. Dustsweeper combats this.
You send a small amount of Steem or SBD to dustsweeper, then it gets doubled, and used to upvote your comments/posts that have votes under the dust threshold to ensure they don't expire. You can check out the faq here https://steemit.com/dustsweeper/@dustsweeper/dustsweeper-faq

The final one I'll mention here is @paulag's Redfish Power Up League - https://steemit.com/steem/@paulag/redfish-power-up-league-and-wall-of-fame-week-9. This is a great initiative for encouraging engagement and monitoring your growth here on Steemit. See how you're tracking each week as your account gets stronger.

Hopefully these meet @felipejoys entry criteria, but if not, I hope they help people learn more about what's available on the Steem blockchain.

  • https://steemd.com/@smitop (replace the username) - This shows all of the operations you've done on the blockchain, and shows some information about you, like voting power and bandwidth power. I find it quite useful to find out what has happened with my account.
  • SteemAuto - This lets you automatically do a lot of stuff. You can automatically claim rewards, so you don't have forgotten rewards in your account. You can upvote what other accounts are upvoting, called curation trails. It has scheduled posts. It has a feature where you can upvote certain comments automatically.
  • SteemConnect Signer - This makes you create SteemConnect signing links. With this, you can make links that let someone do something on the network, after clicking the link, and confirming. You have a lot of options to choose from, such as voting for a witness, voting for a post, transfering STEEM/SBD, following someone, updating your profile, etc.

Replace my user name with yours and keep track of your upcoming payments, steem/sbd prices, who votes for you and more. Click into an individual post and find out the voting for it. See your comments and find out which ones are getting upvoted.

https://steemnow.com/@fitinfun by @pengiunpablo

Replace my user name with yours and watch your upvotes come in. The instantaneous real-time result stops you from clicking in and out of posts to check votes. See your curation and author rewards come in as they enter your wallet. Use the "latest posts" section to see your own posts, or like me, set it to watch for good posts to comment on based on the criteria you set.

https://www.becquerel.io/ by @curie
This is a list of the posts @curie gives their fat votes to. Use this list to find posts to comment on. If you make good comments on enough posts each week, you will get a nice wallet transfer from curie for helping them with engagement. In any case, you can see what curie votes for so you know what they are looking for.

The first tool everybody should know is https://steemworld.org This site lets you keep track of all your account operations in real time. Just add your username /@abcdef.... to the end of the link and it will give you all the info. Followers, voting power, incoming rewards, votes...all in real time. So handy.

This one isn't so much as an app. https://partiko.app/ Partiko is the best new thing that i've seen on steemit lately and is an app to access the site but one which has a full set of notifications for your profile as well as being smooth and easy to use. I've found it so much more enjoyable to use steemit since i have downloaded the app.

The last one is http://www.steemstyle.com/ which is a markdown editor. For those of use who aren't very computer literate, this site will format your text in a quick and easy manner to add style and definition to your posts. It has a simple range of tools to format headers, paragraphs, italics, ect...

For me personally these would be three of my most essential tools while i am on the site and i've no doubt that you will find them just as invaluable as well. Enjoy.

Thank you, appreciate it. I had just finished sending shares for my own competition funnily enough.

https://www.grammarly.com :- Best tool for the grammar mistakes.it works
https://translate.google.co.in/m/translate :- if you don't know any single word you can translate it. (This is good for non English speakers)

Yoga :- it will help you to think more. Make you stronger person.

https://www.google.co.in/docs/about/ :- it is the best place to write anything because it will save your files in Google drive. So don't need to worry about loosing it.

Google drive :- by using this drive you can save your hard work in safe hands. So don't have to worry about loosing it.

In my opinion I 'll suggest steemnow and it's upvote calculator.

https://www.steemnow.com

This is miraculous, when someone is trying to use bots. With the help of this they can calculate voting power of their bots. And can easily sense and compare the profits of using.
The more exhausted bots will show less voting power, no matter whatever promises they are making.

http://steemvp.com

This is my second favorite. Because with this help we can see who is our top voters and top downvoters. And who voted better amount.

https://kryptonia.io

If you are a totally new user. To promote or manage some visibility you don't have any money. Then it could be helpful.
There are some easy task that pay you in SUP coin and you can convert it in steem/ steemit dollar.
After this they have boys and trails that will vote your post.
Believe me! It is one of great way to increase your reputation and value on steemit.

Hey! You're missing two more sites to get a qualifying entry. You can edit it, though.

Sorry! Gentleman! I edited that. Something came very urgent and I had to stop it for a while.
Hope it would n't create much problem.
If there's still something you can inform me.

Thanks.
