Upvote Shares Giveaway !
The Upvote Shares Model works in levels which each time increase in price but will always represent similar value to everyone who joins. (More info in the numbers) The first 2 levels have been cleared [Level 0 & Level 1] and the project is about to be opened up in a couple days. In order to increase exposure, some non-transferable Shares from Level 1 were reserved for Giveaways.

It is well known that a lot of people who start on Steemit give up mostly because their intend is just to make some money which does not work. The program is set up in a way that everyone who has the intention to be on Steemit for the longer run will get some value from the ones who end giving up.Support The Community
This program is in a way designed for steemians to support themselves and increase their own post earnings. Only accounts that are in a position to support others and do so in some extend without asking anything in return will be able to get Shares (This means they need to own a minimum amount of 50+ Steem Power). The ones who have most of their SP leased out to bid bots or vote selling services without really doing anything for the community should first change their mindset before giving themselves more support by trying to join this group. Running a community initiative is also highly appreciated !
Make Real Content
Too often on Steemit, posts have very little function aside from the potential post earnings. This project aims to support Steemians who at put effort into their posts that are made with a reason aside from the post earnings. (This does NOT mean every post has to take up hours to make.)Social Engagement
Steemit is a social media Platform and a lot from the value comes from social interactions. Being somewhat socially engaged by making genuine comments really helps us to move Steemit forward.
Some Upvote Shares were already given away to some Quality Steemians I interacted with or got support from during my first year on this platform and also to my fellow founders of the Steemit Betting Community! These accounts can be seen as good examples...

@costanza if you have a few that I can purchase let me know. Not exactly sure how this all works with your program...need to look into it further for sure. But I'd like to purchase a share for a few of the judges if possible. 1 currently isn't posting, but logging in just to judge the contest so that wouldn't be worth it. Great @thedarkhorse, it can be a bit complicated at first but it all makes quite a lot of sense once you get a hang of the basic concept. It should be no problem to sponsor others. Your last remark made me curious. Why would you try to build up two accounts instead of one? I would guess you better put all your energy in one account.

2 accounts is because the Pay It Forward Movement that we are promoting is bigger then just me and I want it to grow far beyond what I could do on my own. This means allowing others to have the posting key so they can leave comments and post contests or other posts. In the end I would like to have @pifc to be a mini curie on the Curation side with a different twist/focus and also a one stop shop for people who enjoy using contests to grow their accounts. Now those that want all of this very likely don't care about my babbling about my dog getting sprayed by a skunk or me selling items on Steem Flea Market. So those posts target a different audience.
As for the SBD and Steem in my account, I purchased a bunch of SBD from a couple members here who needed cash fast. At the time it was a good move as I had extra money in my Paypal account and wanted more SP. But then life kicked me in the balls and my boiler blew up. Now I'm sitting here trying to figure out how to cover a $14k bill to replace the boiler, some electrical that needs to be brought up to code, and some of the pipes for the heating system. If I power up it's 13 weeks to take it back out, but as it sits if needed I can just pull it and pay part of the bill. My goal is to make enough money outside of here to pay for the repairs, but need to figure it out before locking that money in for 13 weeks.

I really don't know how expensive one would be in Holland. But I would say am ordinary house boiler should be much cheaper. As most people just use central heating to heat the water. And the central heating costs $3-4k to buy a new one.

True. But every single community account is run by one or more people that also have a personal account. IMO it would not really make sense to only run a community account...
I would like to nominate @woman-onthe-wing! She is a wonderful example of supporting the health community on here. She runs the #makeithealthy initiative where she curates posts about nutrition, fitness, lifestyle and any other aspect of overall health that use the tag. She has also been doing a Steemit voices series where she is interviewing interesting members of the community. She also used to run the Steemit Culinary Challenge, so there is a long history of supporting others and giving back.
Personally she has been a huge supporter of me and my efforts to encourage others to take care of their bodies through nutrition and fitness. She also supports the @runningproject with what we do there.
Thank you for putting this together to try to grow the community @costanza! I very much appreciate the support you have given me and I'm very happy to throw someone else in to get a little boost, as well!

Try making more friends on Steemit by adjusting your overall voting behavior. Just to show the difference compared to @thedarkhorse who will easily get one of the Shares.

Well, this is a very cool initiative @costanza... guess I must have been asleep, as it's the first I have heard of it.
I love the idea that you're doing this as a long term benefit; I'm a big fan of SBI and my enthusiasm there was definitely tied to the idea that participation is really about people making a long-term commitment to the community.

You were not asleep, steemit is a jungle where it's quite difficult to see wood through the trees.
I also like the SBI idea especially being able to sponsor someone which I really wanted to include in this project in a way to does not compromise the investment. The long term is really what It's about, those who stick to steemit should definately be rewarded. I just finished the projects Terms & Conditions post
You're right; it's easy to miss things, and sometimes we just get stuck in our particular pathways around here.
I'll definitely look into your program further! As I said, I think SBI is great, and I'm also an active participant in Asher's curation and engagement leagues. I think I've "ranked" for about 12 weeks straight, I'm just not such an active "top level" poster.

I liked your publications, during the World Cup. Sometimes I saw that it did not generate much, and the post was of quality. It is not like other users, that only mounts the contest and ready, also makes reviews, criticasm bets and others. Although I never guessed correctly in his competitions, I always followed him during the World Cup, for his review.
Marcus is indeed also a good candidate! I was doubting between Marcus and Ace. But went for Ace because he has less SP! So needs it a little bit harder!
How much SP is needed?
I'm thinking of 40SP owned for each share (or maybe down to 30SP). So someone with 500SP can get a maximum amount of 12 shares. In your case you would be able to get 1 share. I will be making a clear post on all terms an agreements probably tomorrow and post in on the @upvoteshares account
Yeah I remember this from a previous post. But as I didn't see the SP rule in this post I was wondering where the question asker was referring to? I guessed he meant reputation instead of SP.
Anyways I'm fully up to speed about the rules now. So now I got to do my best to gain or but a share.
