[Sponsor Report - #6] Airdrop Wallet, Upvoting/Resteem Airdrop, and ABV Ranking System Coming Soon

Hello hunters!

Another crazy weekend has passed and we’ve made many changes to Posting Guidelines and @steemhunt’s upvoting rules. For those who missed the changes, here is the summary:

1. New Updates for Posting Guidelines - We won't accept any e-commerce sites such as Amazon, Ali Express, Ebay, etc. Only four product links are valid: Official product website, Major app store link (AppStore, PlayStore, etc), Crowdfunding sites (Kickstarter, Indiegogo, etc), and Github/Bitbucket repositories for open source projects. Also the unique items section has been deleted (check out this post - https://steemit.com/steemhunt/@steemhunt/steemhunt-progress-and-posting-guidelines-update)
2. No Bid Bots - we decided that @steemhunt won't upvote any hunting posts that use bid bots (check out this post - https://steemit.com/steemhunt/@steemhunt/urgent-announcement-steemhunt-will-exclude-all-bid-bot-upvoted-hunts)
3. Stricter Upvoting on Review Comments - @steemhunt won't upvote meaningless review comments anymore. (check out this post - https://steemit.com/steemhunt/@steemhunt/announcement-update-for-steemhunt-upvoting-review-comments-or-utopian-io-added-steemhunt-to-the-trail)

Airdrop Wallet (beta) is on the Way!

As we mentioned, the Steemhunt wallet for the HUNT token airdrop is coming this week. Once we announce it, you will be able to check your HUNT token balance and transactions. The SP holder’s airdrop and on-chain wallet transfering feature will be added later. This beta version is just to show your airdrop transactions. This is a sneak peek of how the wallet looks.

Upvoting/Resteem Airdrop is also Coming

With the wallet arrival, finally the airdrop for the upvoters and resteemers of hunter’s posts will begin together. 60,000 tokens per day will be distributed for people who upvote or resteem the hunter posts located under the “Today” tab on Steemhunt.com. You will find out your HUNT token transactions the next day.

To explain the airdrop in more detail; everyday 40,000 tokens are assigned for upvoters, and 20,000 for resteemers in this airdrop. For the upvoters, HUNT tokens will be assigned based on the share of the person’s upvoting value of the total hunter rewards of the day. For the resteemers, HUNT tokens will be assigned 1/n for all participants. Please read the manual, section 2-2-2. Voting/Resteem.

ABV (Account Based Voting) Ranking System due Next Week

Finally the new ABV ranking system will be ready next week. As so many Steemians raised questions about the abusing issue from bid bots to get benefits from @steemhunt’s voting pool, developing a fair ranking system is one of the most important tasks for us.

With the new ABV system, the default ranking system on Steemhunt will be based on upvoting scores by hunters, not based on its own payout values. In other words, your post’s ranking will be higher when it is actually popular in the Steemhunt community rather than when it receives high upvoting values. This means that using bid bots, subscription services, curation tails, group voting pools, or any upvotes to boost up your payout values are not going to be related to Steemhunt’s ranking competition.

More details of ABV logic are still under discussion, but it may be based on the scoring system + whitelisted upvoters. Only the upvotings from hunters who have ever posted on Steemhunt are going to be counted for the score of your post. One full vote per account will be a 10 score. The criteria to form the whitelist will be continuously updated by analysing the ranking quality. Since this is the beta stage, we will begin with the hunters who have hunted “at least once” to count the scores. Then, this criteria can become stricter later.

After the initial period of running the ABV ranking system, we will create our own hunter reputation score that will add to the weight of the upvote scores. Mostly it will be designed to reflect how much the hunter is contributing to the community. For more details, please check out our Github issue page - https://github.com/Steemhunt/web/issues/135.
