Thanks for your reply, I do understand there is a transaction taking place on the back end that will impact whether or not the payout is net positive, neutral, or negative. This however cannot be easily intuited by me looking at the post, and what's worse, is that it cannot be easily intuited by the casual onlooker visiting the trending page who might not be familiar with this system that has been created. This is compounded when there is an amalgam of bots doing the voting.
When viewing the reward pool by itself as the reward allocation for proof-of-brain on the blockchain, some rewards are being disproportionately allocated. This is because in many cases some financial transaction has taken place on the back end. As the viewer, why is it my problem that this transaction has taken place at all? I only need to look at the disproportionate rewards and adjust them down. The parties to that transaction need to decide whether or not it was mutually beneficial on their own after the community has valued the post. This is all irrespective of my doubts that this system is a net positive for the platform. I do recognize it is your right to create this system, but it is also my right to recognize that it is not a native feature of the STEEM blockchain, and to also view rewards proportionately.
To use that much bidbotting on a post about organic trending smells like hipocrisy to me :(
