1. Steemit Inc rolls out MIRA
Steemit Inc have announced the soft roll-out of MIRA...
MIRA is a cutting-edge scaling solution that we developed for Steem and stands for Multi Index RocksDB Adapter. It leverages state-of-the-art database technology developed by Facebook to dramatically reduce the cost of running the Steem blockchain by allowing nodes to store almost all necessary data on low cost (commodity) hardware instead of in RAM without degrading performance.
Once MIRA has been released to the public, Steemit Inc's development team will be shifting their attention to completing the development of the Smart Media Tokens protocol.

2. Reviewhunt pre-signs 37 companies & $64,000 per month
@Steemhunt has announced that 37 companies have pre-signed up on Reviewhunt to spend over $64,000 per month.
Reviewhunt is a launching hub for product makers who want to create viral launching buzz. Powered by HUNT token economy, it enables companies to lead influencers to talk about their products through all accessible channels such as Reddit, Youtube, Twitter etc.
3. Steem now on Niffler
After the community efforts led by @guiltyparties, @nathanmars and @theycallmedan Steem is now officially listed on the cryptocurrency trading simulator Niffler.co...
4. The BLOCK Party - 20-23 June, Colorado, USA
Steem's main meetup US meetup event of the summer - The BLOCK Party - is now only 6 weeks away.
It will be a great way to meet some well known steemians including @enginewitty, @mariannewest, @adstoshi, @nathanmars, @raybrockman, @zipporah, @katrina-ariel, @snook, @crescendoofpeace, @michaeldavid, @rakkasan84, @byn, @bigtom13 and @sirlunchthehost.

5. Snax integrates with Steem
Snax is a blockchain which rewards people for the content they create on public social media such as Twitter.
On 14 May Snax will integrate with Steem.
A number of well known steemians such as @dragosroua, @crowdmind and @liberosist are block producers for Snax.
6. DLine returns
The DLine Retention and Acceleration Initiative has been revived...
7. Suggestions wanted for Developer Portal update
@whysteem are inviting input and suggestions on how to improve the Developer Portal to make it easier to understand.

Missing your news feed.
Alas I couldn't justify the 3 - 4 hours a day it was taking to research and compile.
Interest and support was declining.
Pity. But that is a lot of time for one post.
You need some whale upvotes for doing this.
That would have been ideal.
Really missing your news posts over on SteemPeak interface! Just saying... i know it was a lot of work though.
Sorry I couldn't keep providing the feed for Steempeak.
They were taking 3 - 4 hours a day to prepare and just not getting enough support or interest to justify the time.
Just as importantly the amount of news worthy activity on Steem to report on was suffering a noticeable decline.
And I must say I am finding my new daily #five4theplanet project much more interesting, enjoyable and mentally rewarding...
