I am releasing a 50 day daily devotional about the end-times as revealed in Scripture. Along with the text, I will be providing a video where I cover the text of the day, and @verbal-d will be providing an audio version of it. That way, whether you want to read, watch, or listen, you'll be able to enjoy this study as you wish.

The plan is to release this devotional over the next 50 consecutive days, but life may "get in the way." We will do our best, but please be patient with me if I fall behind.

DAY 5 - WRATH vs. TRIBULATION

Though believers will indeed not be subjected to any form of the wrath of God, even His end-time wrath, this is by no means a promise of a life of ease. Today, the Bible is illegal in 53 countries and more Christians are dying for their faith worldwide than at any other time in world history.

Though man seeks after a life of comfort and ease, such is often not the case, especially for believers. In America, though the culture is shifting, we have long enjoyed many freedoms that have allowed us to practice our faith without real persecution. It is, therefore, difficult for us to believe that we may have to die for our faith, even here.

As it pertains to the wrath of man and the wrath of the opposition (Satan and the demons), Christians are often the target. These types of wrath, from which God never promises us exemption, are often described in the Bible with the word “tribulation”. The difficulties that such hostility creates go well beyond the common struggles of life that affect all inhabitants of earth.

“These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.” (John 16:33)

“Confirming the souls of the disciples, and exhorting them to continue in the faith, and that we must through much tribulation enter into the kingdom of God.” (Acts 14:22)

“And not only so, but we glory in tribulations also: knowing that tribulation worketh patience;” (Romans 5:3)

“Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword?” (Romans 8:35)

“Rejoicing in hope: patient in tribulation; continuing instant in prayer;” (Romans 12:12)

“(God) Who comforteth us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort them which are in any trouble, by the comfort wherewith we ourselves are comforted of God.” (2 Corinthians 1:4)

“Great is my boldness of speech toward you, great is my glorying of you: I am filled with comfort, I am exceeding joyful in all our tribulation.” (2 Corinthians 7:4)

“I John, who also am your brother, and companion in tribulation, and in the kingdom and patience of Jesus Christ, was in the isle that is called Patmos, for the word of God, and for the testimony of Jesus Christ.” (Revelation 1:9)

Obviously our study for today is not a warm, fuzzy message which we eagerly welcome. However, as you can see from the sampling of verses provided, this is the Bible’s message to believers. The wrath of God is the one thing that believers are spared from, based upon the promise from our verse yesterday, “For God hath not appointed us to wrath, but to obtain salvation by our Lord Jesus Christ” (1 Thessalonians 5:9). However, believers are actually promised wrath and tribulation in this world. We should not be caught off guard when we find ourselves in such situations. In order to understand exactly which end-time events we will not be subjected to, we must find out what God says about His end-time wrath in the Bible.

Point: Believers will be subjected to ungodly wrath, commonly called “tribulation” in the Bible.

I did so as an experiment to see how hard it would be for a new user to get noticed on steemit, so I didn't let anyone now that I was doing it. It is not the purpose of this series to just copy all of my previous work, but instead to transform it into some new outlets by releasing it in an audio and video format, to broaden the reach that this work has.

Again, though I will certainly never claim to know it all, I do believe that many are being lead astray by some popular beliefs. I hope that this project will be able to help many others understand the end-times more accurately. Thanks!
