This is DAY FIVE of the daily devotional.

I am releasing a 50 day daily devotional about the end-times as revealed in Scripture. Along with the text, I will be providing a video where I cover the text of the day, and @verbal-d will be providing an audio version of it. That way, whether you want to read, watch, or listen, you'll be able to enjoy this study as you wish.

The plan is to release this devotional over the next 50 consecutive days, but life may "get in the way." We will do our best, but please be patient with me if I fall behind.

Though believers will indeed not be subjected to any form of the wrath of God, even His end-time wrath, this is by no means a promise of a life of ease. Today, the Bible is illegal in 53 countries and more Christians are dying for their faith worldwide than at any other time in world history.

Though man seeks after a life of comfort and ease, such is often not the case, especially for believers. In America, though the culture is shifting, we have long enjoyed many freedoms that have allowed us to practice our faith without real persecution. It is, therefore, difficult for us to believe that we may have to die for our faith, even here.

As it pertains to the wrath of man and the wrath of the opposition (Satan and the demons), Christians are often the target. These types of wrath, from which God never promises us exemption, are often described in the Bible with the word “tribulation”. The difficulties that such hostility creates go well beyond the common struggles of life that affect all inhabitants of earth.

“These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.” (John 16:33)

“Confirming the souls of the disciples, and exhorting them to continue in the faith, and that we must through much tribulation enter into the kingdom of God.” (Acts 14:22)

“And not only so, but we glory in tribulations also: knowing that tribulation worketh patience;” (Romans 5:3)

“Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword?” (Romans 8:35)

“Rejoicing in hope: patient in tribulation; continuing instant in prayer;” (Romans 12:12)

“(God) Who comforteth us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort them which are in any trouble, by the comfort wherewith we ourselves are comforted of God.” (2 Corinthians 1:4)

“Great is my boldness of speech toward you, great is my glorying of you: I am filled with comfort, I am exceeding joyful in all our tribulation.” (2 Corinthians 7:4)

“I John, who also am your brother, and companion in tribulation, and in the kingdom and patience of Jesus Christ, was in the isle that is called Patmos, for the word of God, and for the testimony of Jesus Christ.” (Revelation 1:9)

Obviously our study for today is not a warm, fuzzy message which we eagerly welcome. However, as you can see from the sampling of verses provided, this is the Bible’s message to believers. The wrath of God is the one thing that believers are spared from, based upon the promise from our verse yesterday, “For God hath not appointed us to wrath, but to obtain salvation by our Lord Jesus Christ” (1 Thessalonians 5:9). However, believers are actually promised wrath and tribulation in this world. We should not be caught off guard when we find ourselves in such situations. In order to understand exactly which end-time events we will not be subjected to, we must find out what God says about His end-time wrath in the Bible.

Point: Believers will be subjected to ungodly wrath, commonly called “tribulation” in the Bible.

I hope that this study has been blessing you. Again, this is just my current understanding, but I hope that it is accurate. Check it out for yourself.

If anyone is really interested, I did post the entire volume through an alt account over a year ago. I did so as an experiment to see how hard it would be for a new user to get noticed on steemit, so I didn't let anyone now that I was doing it. You can click here to a post that has links to the entire 50 days of this devotional if you really want to read ahead. That information has always been available there since I first posted it. It is not the purpose of this series to just copy all of my previous work, but instead to transform it into some new outlets by releasing it in an audio and video format, to broaden the reach that this work has.

Again, though I will certainly never claim to know it all, I do believe that many are being lead astray by some popular beliefs. I hope that this project will be able to help many others understand the end-times more accurately. Thanks!

Just in case you are new to this series and wanted to check out the previous audio or videos, here are links to the posts from each day of this series.

Also - A special thanks to @allforthegood for helping design my cover image!

Until next time…

This reminded me of what Jesus (Yeshua) said...

John 15:18-19 “If the world hates you, keep in mind that it hated me first. 19 If you belonged to the world, it would love you as its own. As it is, you do not belong to the world, but I have chosen you out of the world. That is why the world hates you.

We are indeed fortunate here in America to rarely, if ever, face physical persecution for our faith. That is not to say that we don't still get our share though. The constant media bias and labels of "Bible-thumpers" and "Christian right" denigrating our values and morals as if we are somehow archaic and unenlightened (and downright "hicks") is a genuine and insidious assault on our character and faith. As demonstrated by the "snowflakes" in our last election, it's not too much of a stretch to see acts of "free speech" and "protests" devolve into actual hate and violence. It's something we need to be aware of and prepared for in the probably-not-too-distant future.

Love the series so far. Can't wait for tomorrows edition.....thank you!

Glad to hear that you are enjoying it so far. I try to make it easy to digest!

This series is so good so far! These verses you have here really speak to where Doubly Blessed Homestead & Bee Farm are at right now! We could be "Why is Yah doing this to us, what did we do wrong?" Through scripture, however, we are encouraged that this is part of His purification process. It may be painful but our perspective is broader and that allows us to trust His hand now! I know that's not where you are going with this part of the series but wanted to share how He's using you to encourage my little family way down here in the corner of Tejas!

I like the alt account experiment idea. It is difficult for new users. I wonder as your account value grows your following does also? Steem seems to be going crazy right now.

Yeah, after 2 months I had made about $20... way different that what "papa-pepper" was experiencing. It put a lot of things in perspective and was a great lesson in empathy too.

"God knows how to deliver the godly people out of their trials and to reserve the unrighteous ones for destruction on the day of his judgement " 2 Pet. 2:9

Seriously you doing a wonderful works in the leadership of spirit this day .Any time I read any of post towards achieving your mission towards making many to understand and have accurate knowledge and perception about " end time " I become refresh and renewed by such an auction that comes out of your deep dispensation to end time. Am glad to online and as fresh as it is immediately you post it .thanks for your leadership once again.

Wow, thank for that.

My heart goes out to those facing tribulations, may God give them the strength to hold on to their faith. Thanks for sharing this @papa-pepper

I must commend your work. But let me add here that religion is no human friend. It has led to so many catastrophes and I hope and pray sincerely that God places his understanding of love in our hearts so as to enable us treasure and protect the lives of our enemies and friends irrespective of what they worship or believe because the biggest problem my country is facing now is religion

One of the consolations we have amidst these persecutions is this:

Blessed are ye, when men shall revile you, and persecute you, and shall say all manner of evil against you falsely, for my sake. Rejoice, and be exceeding glad: for great is your reward in heaven. Matthew 5:11-12

When our mind is set on the prize, we can endure and pay the price
Nice post

Well said.

Ciertamente estamos en los últimos tiempos!

Nice post papa-papper

A real Christian is the one that faces persecutions everyday for the faith he professes, a life free of challenges is not a life of a good Christian

God gives us comfort in times of tribulation...Thanks for sharing this @papa-pepper.

You are welcome!
