National Geographic is promoting the new Series: Mars
The new Series Mars is taking place in 2033 and human kind is going to colonize Mars. From Producers Brian Grazer and Ron Howard comes a very promising new series mixing fiction and facts into a hopefully interesting TV Series.
National Geographic is promoting the Series around the world now and I think it will be a huge hit. The trailer looks promising!!!

I think we should visit. But colonizing seems very presumptive.

OK Mars is the closest planet, but so what, why do we want the place?
What possible good is there from going to Mars; OK a lot of money is spent to say lets make a T shirt ' Been There, Done That ' ...
I love Space and Astronomy, but why go to Mars; just because we can spend a lot of money ???
maybe one day we can't stay on earth any more ;) who knows...
Oh i love the idea of Mars as your BOL.
People have Bob = bug out bags as survivalists, your BOV is your bug out vehicle, or bug out location . . .
So Mars would be our bug out location, or more precisely out BOP
Bug Out Planet, remember humans have been flying one hundred years. The technical advances in the last few decades will mean we will simply be able to move Earth away from whatever danger the planet faces in a few centuries.
But terraforming Mars would be a kool thing to see as a startup project, unfortunately i am not young enough to be around.
The public will would need to fund a Mars mission, but some people are doing great preparation work even today.
I worked with a lady who said if she did not have kids she would go on a one way two year mission simply for the adventure . . .

Don't we first have to settle whether or not "we" actually went to the moon? With the update in technology, this should be an easy task.
