MM Photography Series: "Noodle Tree"

in #smartphonephotography6 years ago (edited)

Here is one of most interesting trees I have ever seen. Unfortunately I do not know anything about it or what kind it is but it looks wicked. Picture was taken in the small town, not sure of its name on the islands of Tenerife.

First thing that we can spot is the shape of trees witch instantly takes our eyes to the upper part of the picture, moving it downwards. Bright background light (almost too bright because of the camera on the phone) gives substantial contrast to the main motive and its interaction with the environment. Main color is gray with lighter shade created by the intense light.

When I look at this picture first thing that comes to mind is India. I don't know why, but its interesting how things that have no real connection to places can remind us of them.

One of my favorite types of trees - The Banyan Tree. I swing from it’s vines like Tarzan. We had a few of these Banyans in Florida where I’m from - that’s the first thing that comes to my mind when I see this photo. Thanks for sharing

too bad we haven't got them home in Croatia, as we would be living on it as a kids..

They look like some trees I saw in Costa Rica, belonging to Ficus genus, that grow from the top of other trees; maybe similar species!

Thanks for your comment..might be..
