MM Photography series: "Dust"

Today, my picture of choice will be this one; Mount Teide. One might ask why, hell I might ask why. It reminds me of the sun, fun, and love; everything I could ask from the summer. Irony is that it was taken at the end of the winter and beginning of the spring.

The composition of the volcano in the background, rock in front, layers of lava that you can see in rocks, color of the landscape, dusty plants, dust per se…it just fits so...perfectly.

After all, what are our lives if not just a small speck of dust floating around in an endless sandstorm with the purpose of making the layers of ground darker and fertile as we gradually degrade into smaller and smaller particles.

Beauty of the nature is in the colorfulness, and yet lack of it can be much more astounding.
Layers of lava can be seen in the rock and you could almost count number of eruptions, similar to trunk of the tree and its cross section. If the layer is darker it means that the eruption was younger, completely opposite from my soul.
