Animated Review of Ben Goldacre's book, Bad Science

in #science8 years ago

Fancy of conspiracy thinking? They're all after you: the governments, big pharma, big supplements, the food industry, all industries for that matter! All of them...

So, let me be more specific. Any entity who can exploit your lack of critical thinking (stats, math, psychology - and more specifically, cognitive fallacies and biases), will do so. It's understandable since many entities run for-profit, their purpose being maximizing their financial gains, not necessarily your well being. See things for what they are!

In this review, I present some of my key take home messages from Ben Goldacre's book, Bad Science, why identifies flaws in all these entities and strongly supports scientific literacy. It's in each other's power to self-educate. Fail to do so, may make you more vulnerable to being exploited.
