Do you want to buy your baked beans with steem? You can now if you live in the UK
Watching @exyle's vlog yesterday he mentioned that he hopes one day to be able to buy groceries with steem.
You can't yet anywhere in the world except in Nigeria where @greatness96 runs a steem powered grocery store.
If you know of anywhere else please let me know and I will add to my list of Businesses Accepting Payment in steem.
A few hours ago I made a post offering to buy steem directly from other steemians to save going through the exchanges.
One of the methods of payment I offer, and have used successfully already, is Amazon Gift Cards.
This got me thinking...
I have an Amazon Prime account and I can send items to anyone in the UK with it.
And I do buy some groceries from Amazon. Their bulk purchases sometimes beat supermarket prices.
We particularly buy hard to get organic products from Amazon - including cases of organic baked beans.
If anyone wants bulk groceries paid for in steem, and delivered to their door let me know...
I am quite happy to arrange this, for novelty, or for practicality.
Why not be the first in Britain to have a steem powered grocery delivery?
There will be no markup or handling fee as another steem/Amazon service charges - just straight CoinMarketCap exchange rates.
Beans for steem, steem for beanz

Now I want to live in the UK. I make my baked beans in a fire pit with a cast Iron pot, and cover it up with coals. Thanks for sharing the info @pennsif
Those baked beans sound good - I would pay steem for them 😊
Your "steem for beans" post was a delightful addition to the PYPT fare today! Thanks for sharing this and for keeping the lists that you maintain! 😊
Thank you.
Interesting, the people see bitcoin as the only method of payment, but the others cryptocurrencies can be too it, i like your initiative, if i found other place that accept steemit as payment method, i will let you know
With its high fees and slow transaction times bitcoin is no longer of use as a payment method.
Other cryptocurrencies will take its place. Hopefully steem can be one of them. I want to build my list of businesses that accept steem to help push this forward :
Being able to use Steem directly at Amazon would be amazing! Right now I'm fine with just accumulating whatever Steem I can, but I know making it more readily available for use in everyday life would be a game-changer.
I have just produced the latest list of Businesses accepting payment in steem that offer more opportunities :
Yum! Who wants to mail me some beans from Britain ?
