CLOSE TO THE CREATURES WITH PAPA - Male Prairie Skink
This is a species that we met up in Wisconsin and still get to enjoy in Arkansas.
The Prairie Skink (Plestiodon septentrionalis) is an interesting skink variety. I know that this one is a male by the rusty-orange colored throat. These are another very quick lizard, but I was able to photograph him pretty well by using a few tricks.
Two Interesting Photos
Did you know that male Prairie Skinks can howl at the moon like a Coyote? (joke)
Did you know that lizards can get ticks, just like humans can? (not a joke)
As always, I'm @papa-pepper and here's the proof:

Excellent!
You know, if we got stuck in a comment conversation together, we would hit 30,000 in no time!
Very cool (The skink with the shades was kinda scary though). We have them in Ft Smith, there were some in my driveway not long ago about a foot long.
The skink with the shades? Hey! Wait! That was me!
We in the childhood tore lizards tails.
Sometimes that does happen. Thankfully the lizards still live and their tails grow back.

Sounds good!
Good to know wildlife. Good to be here in your post friend @papa-pepper, how long.
Thanks @jsantana! I appreciate you!
Great photos! So if I understand correctly (and I probably don't!), biologically speaking, a skink is more like a snake with legs, while a lizard is basically "a lizard?"
Skinks are a type of lizard.
@papa-pepper would you be able to explain what looks like holes on the lizard are for?
Is this what you are asking about?
Ah yes thank you @papa-pepper I thought it was but wanted to make sure.
No problem, I can share what I know!
