This entry for #goldenhourphotography, as always, comes with a little bit of explanation behind the picture.

My state is the shouthernmost in Brazil, it borders Argentina and Uruguay. We have a culture that differs a little bit from the rest of Brazil and because of our borders I believe that we are more similar to our neighbours.

That means that, like Uruguay and Argentina, the state of Rio Grande do Sul have the "gaucho" culture. The "gaucho" is a denomination used to refer to people who live in Rio Grande do Sul and also for generations that work on the farms, an analogy would be the "cowboys". They usually keep the traditions of their ancestors by using a distinct clothing.

Due for the circunstances and for tradition the horses became the gauchos best friend, thus you can see them everywhere being ridden for fun or work, it's very common to see horses being used by recyclers to carry recycled material from the streets.

In this photo I captured not only the sunset but also a man taking care of his horse on a park near the lake and another man riding his "modern" horse.
