I invite all of you to take a look at what i think to be the most Life Changing Quotes by Martin Luther King Jr and, as i always do in this series, i will also share with you my personal opinion on them.

Invito tutti a dare un occhiata a quelle che io penso siano le Citazioni di Martin Luther King Jr che Possono Cambiare la tua Vita e come faccio sempre in questa serie, condividerò i miei pensieri relativi alle rispettive citazioni.

Who was Martin Luther King Jr??

Martin Luther King was born, to the Reverend Martin Luther King, Sr. and Alberta Williams King, on 15 January in Atlanta.
Since he was a child he find that the color of his skin was a big obstacle to him in order to acchieve anything big in life, so he dedicated his body and his soul to study, taking his degree in philosophy and becoming a reverend himself, and after that he started his unstopable and peacefull fight against racism.

King admired Mahatma Gandhi,(My post on him here), and his peacefull fight based on refusing phisical violence to acchieve social objectives or political changes.

Thank to his peaceful marches and speeches on 10 february 1964 was approved the Civil rights act (that outlaws discrimination based on race, color, religion, sex, or national origin. It prohibited unequal application of voter registration requirements, racial segregation in schools, employment, and public accommodations).
On the same year Martin received the Nobel for peace,at the age of 35 he was the youngest winner of this prize.

He made many enemies trying to make people understand that black and white are equals and on 30 June his house was destroyed by some explosion without any consequence to his family.
On 4 april 1968 Martin Luther King was killed by a shotgun while he was going to a meeting at the local church in Memphis,Tennessee.
This homicide made the black community very angry and started an uprising in many cities that ended with 43 deaths,500 injured and 27 thousands arrested.

Martin Luther King nasce da una famiglia di pastori della Chiesa battista il 15 gennaio del 1929 ad Atlanta.
Sin da piccolo Martin si rende presto conto che il colore della sua pelle rappresenta un ostacolo apparentemente insormontabile. Presa coscienza di questa inaccettabile discriminazione si dedica anima e corpo allo studio, laureandosi in filosofia e diventando anch’egli pastore, per poi iniziare la sua inarrestabile e pacifica battaglia contro la segregazione razziale.

King ammirò Mahatma Gandhi e la sua lotta pacifica che rifiutava l'uso della violenza per raggiungere obbiettivi sociali o cambiamenti politici.
Grazie ai discorsi e alle marce pacifiche di Martin Luther Il 10 febbraio 1964 viene approvato il Civil rights act, legge per i diritti civili che aboliva la discriminazione razziale nei servizi pubblici di ogni genere, alberghi e motel, ristoranti e stadi, teatri, biblioteche pubbliche, nel lavoro e nei sindacati dei lavoratori. Nello stesso anno Martin Luther King viene insignito del premio Nobel per la pace, all’età di 35 anni è il più giovane vincitore nella storia di questo premio.

Durante la sua lotta contro il razzismo Martin si fece molti nemici e ll 30 giugno un attentato dinamitardo gli distrugge la casa, senza conseguenze per la famiglia, poi il 4 aprile 1968 a Memphis, Tennessee, Martin Luther King viene ucciso da un colpo di fucile prima di andare ad un incontro in una chiesa locale. . L’omicidio fa divampare la rabbia della comunità nera dando vita ad una rivolta in tutti i ghetti d’America con un terribile bilancio, quarantatré morti, cinquecento feriti e ventisettemila arresti.

Racism is another thing we need to get rid off in order to grow as humans.
Nobody should be judged by the color of his skin or by the country in wich he was born.
This is not something we choose, this doesn't depende on us, we only choose what to do 20 years after we are born, before all our choices are the choices of somebody else, and for our hole life our choiches are influenced by others.
So never judge somebody if you don't know the reasons behind his action.
When we will stop judging each others we will be on the right path to acchieving peace and prosperity.

Ho un sogno, che un giorno i miei 4 bambini vivranno in un paese in cui non saranno giudicati per il colore della loro pelle, ma per il loro carattere.

Il razzismo è, a mio avviso, un altra cosa di cui dobbiamo liberarci se vogliamo crescere come razza.
Nessuno dovrebbe essere giudicato per il colore della sua pelle o per il paese in cui è nato.
Queste non sono cose che noi scegliamo, non dipendono da noi, noi iniziamo a scegliere soltanto dopo 20 anni dalla nostra nascita, prima tutte le nostre scelte sono le scelte degli altri e per tutta la nostra vita la scelte che facciamo rimangono comunque influenzate dagli altri.
Quindi non giudicare mai qualcuno se non conosci la ragione per cui abbia fatto una determinata cosa.
Quando non giudicheremmo più gli altri, saremmo sulla strada giusta per raggiungere la pace e la prosperità.

What is legal is not always what is good.
When you do something do not think if that's legal or not, think if this seems fair to you, would you like if somebody does that to you?
There are a lot of legal things that are really bad, only the media associate legal with good.
If we think that the law is not fair we need to fight in order to change them, only in this way we could make this world, that we are living in, a better place for all of us.

Non dimenticate mai che tutto ciò che Hitler fece in Germania fù legale

Ciò che è legale non è sempre ciò che è giusto.
Quando fai qualcosa non pensare se questa cosa è legale o meno, pensa se a te ti sembra giusta come cosa, ti piacerebbe se qualcuno facesse questa cosa a te?
Ci sono un sacco di cose legali che in realtà sono molto brutte, solo la televisione tende ad associare legale con giusto.
Se pensiamo che la legge non sia giusta, dobbiamo lottare per cambiarla, solo in questo modo potremmo rendere questo mondo, in cui viviamo, un posto migliore per tutti noi.

Good or evil are just the extremes, we all leave in the between.
There is no absolute evil or absolute good, we should know that we are both, good and evil, we just choose wich one to grow in us.
This doesn't mean that if we did some bad things we can not change that.
We should always try to make everybody understand that to be good or bad is our choice.
We should be good and help each other even if they have done something bad to us, make them understand the bad things they did and help them think on what they have done and why this is bad.

C'è del buono nei più cattivi di noi è c'è della cattiveria nei migliori di noi. Quando capiremmo questo, saremmo meno invogliati ad odiare i nostri nemici.

Buono o cattivo sono solamente i due estremi, noi siamo tra i due.
Non esiste una persona buona al 100% o cattiva al 100%, dobbiamo capire che noi siamo entrambi, buoni e cattivi, soltanto che scegliamo quale a quale dei due estremi ci vogliamo avvicinare.
Ciò non significa che se abbiamo fatto cose brutte in passato siamo cattivi e non possiamo più cambiare.
Dovremmo cercare di essere buoni e aiutare gli altri anche se loro ci hanno fatto del male, dobbiamo cercare di far loro capire dove hanno sbagliato e fargli pensare a ciò che hanno fatto e perchè ciò che hanno fatto non è giusto.
