Hello steemian, This day of your time i would like to share with you the most life-changing quotes by Sun Tzu.
Even if in my personal opinion, who he was is not as important as his teachings i will still show some insights on who he was and what he did.
Who Was Sun Tzu?
Sun Tzu's historicity is uncertain Sima Qian and other traditional historians placed him as a minister to King Helü of Wu, He has been a Chinese general and philosopher and is believed that he was born in 544 b.C. and died in 496 b.C.
He is the author of the most important book of military strategy that is still used in today's daily problems:
The art of war is traditionally ascribed to Sun Tzu. It presents a philosophy of war for managing conflicts and winning battles. It is accepted as a masterpiece on strategy and has been frequently cited and referred to by generals and theorists since it was first published, translated, and distributed internationally.
Le's take a look at the Quotes.
One may know the condition of a whole army by the behavior of a single man
An example that Sun Tzu gives in his book on that quote is:
If those who are sent to draw water begin by drinking themselves, the army is suffering from thirst.
That's why is very important to have more knowledge on the subject before engaging on it, this aply in our daily problems and we should study as much as we can about everything so we will have more chanches to succeed.
He who wishes to fight must first count the costs.
This not only apply in a war, We must always think before we act. Only in this way we can acchieve our goals or atleast minimize the losses.
If we need 100 dollars but spend 200 to get them we acchieved our goal but it costs us more than what we get so if we don't count the costs before engaging in a fight we might not know if this fight is worth or not.
The opportunity of defeating the enemy is provided by the enemy himself
All we need to acchieve every goal is patience.
Just be patient and wait for an opportunity, study the problem that you have and with patience you will succeed.
Everyday brings a new opportunity, we just have to be there ready to take it.
When you are confronting an enemy/problem, do not rage at it and expect to deal with it real easy, just observe it and study it and by observing and studying it you will understand more about it and the solution to the problem will come by itself.

I've read this book. Find it awesome! "Translated" some of these strategies and put them in practice in daily life. Usually this works out great.
I've also read it.
It works on everyday's problems, everyone should read it atleast once in life.
