Thessaloniki, Greece - Where Cover images Are The Toughest Decision Of The Day
When you’re married to a 5-star chef, choosing a restaurant can be challenging, not a bad problem to have. Similar to being on a private beach and forgetting a towel—things could be worse. Or when they overbooked coach and are forced to offer you a first class seat at the same price—no complaints here! The beginning of this article is kind of like that. I captured a bunch of #travel images last week to share with you, all of which are worthy of the cover, and I have to narrow it down to one—such a predicament!
I have a lot of street art to show you, even more than last time, the painters around here are no joke! Amazing architecture that’s still standing after 1,000+ years makes it difficult to snap a bad shot, there’s some of those in here too. We saw a headless street performer yesterday, that’s a new one. Single-lane, cobblestone roads set a really nice stage for pictures. And the farmers market, it’s literally right across the main road from our current Air B&B, I couldn’t decide what to show you so I’ll just show you the whole thing. There’s a pond full of turtles, there’s statues and sculptures, the dessert our host delivered to our door the other day from “the best bakery in Greece,” what I’m doing right now is, buying time because I still haven’t decided on a cover image.

Good morning @birdsinparadise! Happy Sunday, I didn't do any steeming yesterday other than this post late last night, I'm off to your contender next. Man, there's a lot of them--eight frikkin teen! 🥶
Yes, I carry a big back pack and that just barely does the trick. Greece is a really great place. We got ourselves into a refugee kitchen twice a week cooking for and serving mainly Syrian refugees but also Iran, Iraq, Albania, etc. I can’t believe the stories we’ve heard. Young boys, age 14 running for their lives, fleeing their home with nothing, no food, money, medical, and don’t even speak the language. Running for their lives because their number is literally ‘in the way,’ they’re just a number, and they showed me the shrapnel all through their body. I was completely in the dark.. didn’t know the US was still dropping 20 bombs/day. T.w.e.n.t.y. That’s not a typo.
Hmm.. I just woke up, didn’t know we were going here first thing this am. 🤔 It broke my heart to listen to many refugees, God’s children, in fear for their life. Know what I heard? It’s an unfathomable thought. I was told the sound of the planes is more terrifying than the blasts. They said when they hear the planes coming, they hope they get killed. Ponder that one for a minute. It took me several days to digest that one. Crazy.
.....Greece, gorgeous! We’ll be here another 14 days. Then Israel!! I can’t wait.

I have only great things to say about Greece. The food, the scenery, the people, the weather, all of it... beautiful. There’s a bit of a cat problem here, lots and lots of feral cats, but they’re just cats! Not like wild tigers or anything so it still doesn’t count as bad. 👍🏿

I am known on steemit as an honest and kind guy, simply because I don't believe in negativities and always try to lift everyone up with my comments.
I keep all of my posts 100% original and try to help others where I can, never used a bot since I started and worked my way up.

I can spend a whole day walking around back and fro in that farmer market, just to enjoy the crowd and beautiful colours of the things they sell out there with a big bread in my hand😂

Great question! And I actually have a legitimate response. We’ll be taking off out of here in a little less than two weeks—next stop, Israel! I’m so excited, @cicisaja, I can’t shut up about it. Not that I’m ever able to shut up anyway. That’s why we haven’t collected things like spices, cuz we can’t take them with us shortly. She just uses the minimum for now... salt, pepper, chili flakes, I think maybe cumin, too, but that’s about it.
How are you guys today, Cici? Will you be dishing up plates to the whole town again?
Ahh Israel .. that would interesting to read your next stop journey @dandays ..and I believe that the spices will be anywhere too😉
Because Im back to my old craziness on steemmonsters and not in the mood to do some experiments at my kitchen, I think I'll cook the easier and fastest meals for the guys till the end of the year while waiting for my pumpkin bear its fruit and the rambutan fruits riped and we will spend most of our time in the rooftop eating the rambutan 😂
