Your Favorite Fruit
The odes I received this time were all wonderful. Unfortunately, for me, there were only three. :( That means everyone's a winner this time out!! I am having serious reservations about continuing this challenge. I'll go a couple of more weeks and promote it more in my other posts. If the entries aren't there then it's a bust. I do enjoy doing this and it has received nothing but positive feedback, it's just a bit disconcerting that it is not catching on. Okay, my little pity party is over. On to the winners!

Poems will be judged for their originality,
creativity, and focus of the subject.
You ARE NOT being judged on how many comments you get so if you see a
poem by another artist that you enjoy let them know.

Thank you for this ode competition. I love it too. I will promote this and other poetry and creative competitions in my posts this week too. To be honest I'm not sure how my Runaway Rhymes contest will fare this week, because I've chosen words to include not a theme.

Too bad there were only three entries! :-( I am blessed to have won - though, thank you @japhofin8or for hosting. Sometimes the third or fourth week can be hard to keep readers engaged. Especially when there are so many contests out there offering rewards right now. I have had a lower turnout this week as well. 37 entries are down to 15 this week. I have had some setbacks the last week...um that's an underestimation! Anyway, sorry I missed the challenge. I had ideas!
My hideous wedding shoes that I gave to a beautiful manic woman, we could hear her coming on the hard hospital floor, they were way too big. She thought they were divine, with their silver sparkles. Clop clop clop.
They were the last heals I ever wore 17 yrs ago.
I got that new grad job soon after I was married Public psych baptism of fire. I loved it.
One night shift my dad dropped me off at work. He said, "What's going on with all the cop cars. "
I told him, "That is the usual mode of transport for my night time admissions." 😊
At the ripe old age of 40 in a few days, I have been deemed DISABLED! The timing, and my orthodic shoes are enough to have me set for a crisis.
So I hope to ride it out with a few steemit distractions.
Thanks for sparking those memories, with shoes! Who'd have thought that would happen. See you have to continue, even just for my belated reflective therapy. 😂
So much about the mental health system is demeaning. But in the interactions just one person to another that I had, I hope I brought people some dignity and compassion. X
