INKTOBER Day #13 "ASH"
It's exactly 3 am, at the time of writing this post, after wasting a lot of time surfing the internet and organizing my ideas for future drawings, it's time to bring you some Inktober.
Day #13 the theme is "ash", so I have drawn a nymph of the forest, who unfortunately seems to suffer, so I suggest you take care of nature, avoid polluting and leave waste that can cause fires or related, perhaps the fairies of the forests do not exist, but if there are many animals that live in it. Take care of the planet, plant a tree.
Tools:
- Opaline Cardboard (A4)
- HB Graphite Pencil
- Black ballpoint pen
- Marker Black thick tip
-Step 1:
With the HB pencil make a sketch of soft strokes.
-Step 2:
Outline everything, taking as a guide the strokes of the sketch.
-Step 3:
Before I did the details, I went to the basics, which is to add the strongest shadows with the black marker.
-Step 4:
Pointillism could not be absent, much less when it comes to ashes, so I have applied this technique to all the lower part of the bust, included in the leaves of the chest. I was very careful to detail the smoke, since I did it with the pen and I had to make very soft strokes not to darken too much.
I'll leave you a little gif with the whole process in it, so you can better appreciate the step by step.
What is inktober?
The inktober is an initiative created by the illustrator Jake Parker in 2009, in order to improve his artistic skills, although over the years has made a great impact on the international artistic community. The challenge is to make a drawing with ink every day, hence its name, "ink" (ink) "tober" (October), although for the most part this is respected, many other artists prefer to stay in their comfort zone, so you can see illustrations made with watercolors, graphite, charcoal, digital and any existing technique.

Tu obra de arte es verdaderamente apreciable y admirable, me gusta mucho el tema de elfo y la manera en que lo hiciste, ya que los detalles son muy lindos y hacen que la obra tome una apreciación mejor. El rostro es bastante parecido a los elfos que vemos en películas de fantasía, pues la simulación que has recreado ha dado en el punto exacto, es muy lindo el diseño del escote y como diste contorno a su rostro para hacerlo mas perfilado y maravilloso.
