INKTOBER Day #12 "DRAGON"
Bad news, I couldn't make the three drawings that I promised for today, I was occupying my time in something that made a great day for me and for my art, if you didn't know it, I also make drawings in digital format, although I usually do them only with the mouse (yes, clicking, very tedious) but ... this would already be a thing of the past if I manage to make a deal that I have in my hands.
Going back to Inktober, it's day 12 (of the theme, because I'm well behind) the proposal is "dragon", with this one I haven't complicated my life too much, I've gone direct, draw an epic and ferocious dragon.
Tools:
- Opaline Cardboard (A4)
- HB Graphite Pencil
- Black ballpoint pen
- Marker Black thick tip
-Step 1:
Soft sketch with the HB pencil
-Step 2:
Outline everything, taking as a guide the strokes of the sketch.
-Step 3:
With the black marker, I added a solid black to the dragon's darker areas.
-Step 4:
Then I grabbed the pen and had fun, that's right, I started scratching to see what it ended up on. Of course I was careful not to smear the drawing, experiment with a shading based on several layers of stripes, the truth did not look so bad.

What is inktober?
The inktober is an initiative created by the illustrator Jake Parker in 2009, in order to improve his artistic skills, although over the years has made a great impact on the international artistic community. The challenge is to make a drawing with ink every day, hence its name, "ink" (ink) "tober" (October), although for the most part this is respected, many other artists prefer to stay in their comfort zone, so you can see illustrations made with watercolors, graphite, charcoal, digital and any existing technique.
