Ferry Disaster In Uganda
According to various media reports 30 people have drowned as ferry capsized in Lake Albert.
There was a party and many people were drunk and playing musical instruments when the incident took place.

Eyewitnesses helping a man get to safety on shore after the disaster.
A ferry carrying a football team and their jubilant fans sank into Lake Albert in Western Uganda when too many people not wearing life-jackets moved to one side of the vessel.

Local fisherman can be seen helping rescue survivors.
Nine bodies have been recovered from the lake as 21 people are still reported missing only 15 survived. The football team and it's fans belonged to Kaweibanda village and were travelling to a nearby village in Uganda's Hoima District for a match that was part of Christmas Day festivities.
The crowd was drumming singing and blowing trumpets and whistling when the boat capsizes about 330 ft from shore. An account of the incident given to AFP by the Bullisa District Police Commander John Rutagira narrates.
"There was the party on the boat, passengers were drunk and dancing."
"The boat was overloaded with 45 people all members of the football team and their local fans."
"The water was calm but the problem came in when the merry-making team and fans tilted to one side of the boat, It capsized killing about 30 people."
