NeedleWorkMonday Featured Posts #30
Hello Steemit community! Welcome to @needleworkmonday’s Featured Posts #30! This is a weekly Curation showcasing the needlework of our very own Steemians. Every Monday we get together to share our love and passion for the needle arts using the #needleworkmonday tag. On all other days we use the #needlework tag. We enjoy each other’s creations, ideas, patterns, tips and shortcuts.
We strive to bring to you great quality work filled with tutorials and inspiration. Please help us keep these wonderful needle arts alive and thriving by supporting our work and community!
This week we had 29 needleworkers sharing their work under the #NeedleWorkMonday tag! A big thanks to you all for coming here week after week to inspire everyone with your handmade art!
It’s because of YOU that we are now a trending tag! 🎉
On to our featured selection...
Finished t-shirt quilt by @oceanmoon
Do you own any t-shirts that you can’t wear anymore but they have sentimental value? Well why not make them into a quilt? @oceanmoon shows us a cool way to keep these memorandums close to you. What a wonderful keepsake idea! I love the way black cotton was used to give it a window like frame. Don’t throw away those t-shirts, upcycle them into a quilt!
The forgotten by @tahiaarq
This post resonates with most if not all of us needleworkers. Sometimes we start on a project and for some reason it gets forgotten, left behind and in the dust. This is what @tahiaarq has found. She found three of her “forgottens” and is now deciding on what to do with them. Sometimes you may not remember what you were working on or may not have the pattern to complete it. You could try to wing it or create something totally different altogether. I sure hope she decides to finish this lovely baby blanket she started :)
Mish Mash Quilting Continued. Putting the pieces (back) together. Needle Work Monday. by @girlbeforemirror
I have been really touched and inspired by this sweet hearted woman. She has been through some difficult and trying life changes and now she is putting the pieces back together one step at a time. @girlbeforemirror is patching together pieces she has worked on over the last three years, that has helped her keep her mind off of her circumstances. I believe once she finishes this quilt it will be a boost to help her start over and look forward to what’s ahead for her and her family. I hope with completion of this project, it gives her a sense of peace and comfort knowing she accomplished something incredible and can now move on to making new pieces from her new life that’s insight. Thank you @girlbeforemirror for being an inspiration to keep on moving for us all ~ ❤️
How Do You Take Care Of Your Eyes? by @vliet
This post is full of helpful tips and exercises that not only needleworkers can use but for everyone that wants to take care of their eyes. Whether you already wear corrective lenses or not, you can still try these exercises that will help to relax your eyes especially if you are constantly looking at a computer screen. Isn’t that eye photo spectacular? You’ll noticed it’s not sourced because the photo belongs to @vliet! I am always entertained with how amazing her photos are!
Thank you for stopping by to view our featured posts for this week! Please stop by their posts and show some love with a read and upvote for sharing their handmade creations! We look forward to seeing you all there and are excited to chat with you directly!!
I am so happy to hear that you have procured a piece of discord to display all this wonderful needlework. It was pure genius to start a tag like this, to begin with. There are so many people that love to use their hands for one of the many works that it covers.
It has even given me some great ideas on what to start next or even how to finish off something. It is inspirational, as are many of the people that follow on here.
@Crosheille You have taken this far and despite being a busy, busy new mommy with other children, have dedicated yourself to seeing it grow and having the sense to put it on vacation for some family/sanity time. This makes growth in the future possible. So yay you.
And much luck and love.
And @thegirlinthemirror is truly inspirational here and in so many places I see her popping up on the platform. This project only exemplifies it. Thank you for sharing!
