🎬Must See Horror Movies - part 8 - The Cabin In The Woods

Dear steemians, followers, movie lovers.

We have now come to part 8 of GOOD horror movies that you must see, im writing this so you dont have to look long for finding good ones, and dont have to watch 10 bad to find that 1 good.

Therefore I will here write about the GOOD Horror movies that you simply must see if you like to get a little scare.

The recommended one today is: The Cabin In The Woods

IMDB:
Gives this a score of 7.0/10 this is an overall good score for this movie, even tho I think it should be higher.

ROTTEN TOMATOES:
There is no doubt here, this is a good movie, with a score of 92% / 73% the criticts and audience agrees, this is deffinently a movie to watch. Keep in mind it is very hard for movies to get a good score here!

GENRER:
Horror, Mystery.

RELEASE:
The Cabin In The Woods is from 2012, so its still newish, this movie is not really about getting "jump scares" its more deep than that, and more mysterious. The star of the movie is Chris Hemsworth, that you know from Thor (must not have been cheap to get him to stare in this movie) and it also features Kristen Connolly who mostly is seen on tv shows.
With a budget of $30.000.000 this is in the expensive end when it comes to horror movies, as they are normally about the half of that. This is probably due to the cast and the effects in the movie.

The Cabin In The Woods, is one of those very good horror mysteries, where you are thinking Wtf? most of the times, and the storyline in it is actually very good, and very different from other movies, as it doesnt get revealed right away. It is one of those movies that has your attention from start till the end. I will however admit that it is one of those movies that you see once, maybe twice if youre interested in the details, because once you know what it is about, well.... then the surprises in it is pretty much ruined (please DONT watch the trailer as it hints towards it) but it is at is best the first time you watch it, thats for sure, and I can highly recommend seeing this movie, regarding rating it, I would say its about 4.8/5 as I very much love movies with surprises and twists that I didnt consider. This isnt your typical horror movie, which probably makes it more watchable for people who wont normally see horror movies.

PLOT:
The Cabin In The Woods follows a group of 5 friends who heads of for an isolated cabin far out in the woods. The trip itself to the cabin is somewhat strang, and from this point there is no communication to the outside world. As they arrive to the cabin, they do what youngsters do, they party a little and have some fun. But they find a celler that they set out to investigate, where they find some old relics and a book. that all seams a bit creepy, but there is alot more going on behind the scene.

TRAILER:
If you really really want to see the trailer you can, but keep in mind that trailers are filled with spoilers to collect audience, and to make a good trailer they need to put in key features of the movie, so if you have a good memory it can pretty much spoil the movie for you, watch it if you want, but if you intend to see the movie anyways, dont watch the trailer.

This is deffinently 1 to watch for the horror genrer.
