Her previous claim was that the mind control program that was used on her daughter had a kind of psychological failsafe, meaning that if there was ever an attempt to deprogram her it could trigger a latent system that would affect the automatic functions of the body such as respiration or circulation.

• O'Brien claims her daughter was suffering respiratory failure as a reaction to deprograming of her mind control. She references espionage brainwashing as a more primitive example of this.

A disturbing 1954 document details an experiment during which two women were hypnotized and one was made to try to wake the other. When the first woman didn’t stir, the other woman was ordered to “fly into a rage and shoot her.” The entranced woman picked up an (intentionally unloaded) pistol, pointed it at the other woman and pulled the trigger before falling into a “deep sleep.” Upon waking, neither woman remembered anything about the sequence.

One hypnotist told the CIA in 1951 that he had used his powers to induce “young girls to engage in sexual intercourse with him.” In 1952, another specialist said that with the correct conditioning, “Individuals could be taught to do anything, including murder.”

• O'Brien's daughter was taken custody by the state of Tennessee.

I haven't found anything about this particular case. It's possible that these records are private, as Kelly was a juvenile at the time. I cannot find anything much about her specifically that doesn't include Cathy and Mark, but there appears to be a good reason for the lack of information.

• Cathy claims that even though she had a lawyer who brought evidence to the judge in Kelly's case about why her apprehension by the state was illegal, unconstitutional, and a violation of human rights, the judge said "but laws do not apply in this case for reasons of national security." She asks: what does "national security" have to do with the mental and sexual abuse of a child. She calls for the repeal of the 1947 national security act

• O'Brien says that in order for the full extent of these secret mind control programs to be exposed, and for justice for the victims, the National Security Act must be removed.

My thoughts

So... what do I think about all this...?

Well, I'm just going to keep writing and see what comes out, because this is a lot to process.

First of all, I can only know what is factual. As you can see in this series, I have taken what I believe are O'Brien's main claims and spent some time researching each of them. The simple fact is that most of the claims she makes are not difficult to loosely corroborate.

As far as the specifics of her case, it becomes more challenging, as she has reasons for why there isn't solid evidence of her and her daughter... and honestly, those reasons are plausible.

World governments DO keep secrets. They do terrible things using the resources they compel from us, and then they don't tell us what they've done.

For instance, you might remember just earlier this year that Donald Trump had previously classified records about the JFK assassination. These records proved that the government had been lying to us for generations about the killing of a United States President.

According to the official account, former US Marine Lee Harvey Oswald acted alone when he gunned JFK down as he rode in the back of an open top car.

Now newly-released documents by President Donald Trump claim there was a second shooter – and provide a new account of the post-mortem to back it up.

To put that into perspective: the US government was fully aware that there was more than one gunman, but for GENERATIONS they lied to the whole world about it, they wrote it down in textbooks and had it taught to children knowing fully well that it was a lie.

That coupled with the fact that the reality of the secret mind control program MKUltra is an undisputed FACT lends a lot of credence to her testimony.

Do I believe her as a person?

I don't know. I've never met her. The only experience I'm going to have with O'Brien is by the material that is publicly available about her and her story. I wouldn't say she strikes me as particularly trustworthy or untrustworthy. She seems like a traumatized person who is trying to manage her trauma. But as far as the truth of her claims, I have found evidence for most of it, at least evidence enough to show that most of her claims are things that actually happen, if not things that actually happened to her.

But in many ways, it's not really important if these things actually happened to her specifically. The fact that they are happening at all, and that there are thousands of victims of MKUltra out there trying to manage the trauma of their experiences, is reason enough to pay attention to the story of Cathy O'Brien.
