Me Too
The amount of women sharing their stories on #metoo has been staggering.
How so many people fail to grasp the consent is beyond me.
There's a woman draped in white
lighting herself a pyre
filling her lungs with the flame
of a cleansing desire
trying to escape from the stench
that spliced her soul till the end.
There's a bullet waiting to be fired
burdened by the truth
of back alley drunken stupors
collapsing within threatening glances
every addiction a numbing relief
just a girl waiting to be relieved
There is a world on the cusp of revolution
emerging from pyres
and ricochets of bullets
the lividity of every soul that went unnoticed
There's a pot waiting to burst
filled with persecution by every HER.
