My manga -Jingi- work process

in #manga5 years ago

Hello steemians!
I am RYO!

I will post on my manga process today!
My art work place is very simple, I will place Styrofoam to adjust the height above the table

I use multiple pens, but most of them are brush pen

These are the two types of pen I mainly use↓

I use the pen on the left most, The right pen is used to draw backgrounds and fine lines.
I think compared to my fingers that the pen size is easy to understand

This note is writing a manga script.
I hope you are not a Japanese…Because my Japanese language is very "miscellaneous"…🤣

I am also writing scripts on smartphones besides notes…You might think "Is not it just enough for smartphones?"
But I am using notes because I do not want to spend so much time using smartphones.
I can not concentrate much on manga when I have a network…😅

Can you see it?
I "draft" thinly with a pencil

My using "Washi" is a very thin paper so if write strongly with a pen the paper will hurt

When the draft is completed, I will first draw the "frame of conversation" with a pen

And split the scene

In this way I will draw a manga.
Please check the completed page for the next chapter😃

Recently, I use most of my time for manga.
There are various ideas about the future story, but making it so that they do not "contradict" is very hard…😅

But I am really happy to be able to draw manga.
I was aiming to be a manga artist when I was young, but I was giving it up completely around the age of 20…
But at the age of 29 I am able to challenge again for my dream😀

I thank everyone who always reads -Jingi-

You do not need to forcibly make a comment for me.
I'm just happy if you enjoy -Jingi-!

Thank you for reading!
Arigatou gozaimashita!

Have not you seen the -Jingi-仁義 series yet?

All my mangas drawn in "Washi(和紙)"
It is a traditional Japanese paper made from 1300 years ago.
This is my Washi of post↓

I will put my comment no matter Im a big fan of your Jingi😋 you need to be busy replying my comments 😂😂😂 Ichibei!

My using "Washi" is a very thin paper so if write strongly with a pen the paper will hurt

I like the chosen words you made about the paper, you are so gentle and nice to the paper😊 because it will make your manga looks wonderful too.

By the way @ryo-6414 kun, did you use eraser to erase the draft later or just draw and thickened the line with pen on it?

Thank you for your kind comment!😹
I can not leave a comment so much so I said like that…I appreciate your kind words!😊

Since the Washi I am using is very "delicate" paper, it needs to be handled gently…
There is also a "hard" type of Washi, but because it is expensive, I am using cheap and thin type of Washi😀

Yeah! I am using an eraser!
Of course, Washi hurts if it does not gently erase…😉
