Your laziness will become your regret

There is a donkey carrying salt across the river. Suddenly it slips and fell into the river. The salt is dissolved in the water. When it stands up, the body doesn’t feel heavy. It was glad to find some trick to be lazy.

Then one day, it was carrying a sponge across the river, it thought that if it falls again, and then stand up will like last time, become less heavy. So, it deliberately fell into the river, but it did not expect the sponge absorbs the water. It could no longer stand up and drown in the river.

Some people think that they found the shortcut to finish the work quickly, but in the end, it is just a trap from acting smart.

Recently I attended the high school reunion party, and I have some regrets.
On the reunion party, all the students all have big changes, no longer those young, immature boys and girls.

When greeting with each other, I observed some subtle details: After the baptism of years, everyone's appearance and temperament looks very different.

The once nerd now wears a suit, dress neatly, has a hint of self-confidence and steady between the forehead;

And the most handsome boy in our class turned into a middle-aged man; his body is also out of shape, look inferiority slightly and dodged around.

Although we can not judge people by their appearances, from the appearance, the situation of the students seems to exist a huge difference. A group of people of the same age, living differently.

In addition to talking about good old times, it is inevitable to talk about changes over the years.

What impresses me the most is Jack.

Jack was the genius of our class. When we go to school, regardless of the exam, he always gets the highest mark. Later Jack admitted to the university and went to the United States to further his study. After graduating, he returned and worked in a famous networking company, and he is the youngest regional vice president of the company.

In school, Jack was like a God, now he is better than before, we are happy for him, and repeatedly congratulating him.

Jack slightly lower his body, and modestly holding the glass:
"I have the achievement today; I really need to thank that year, when everyone was playing and falling in love, I was studying hard.”
After all these years, Jack words still hurt. It really reminds me of some stories.

I have an uncle, graduated from high school and started his seafood business. At his middle age, he earned few barrels.

The week before the exam, when he saw me frustrated about the exam, he taught me the truth of life:
"What is the use of studying, you see those big CEO, who has a high degree of education?" Instead, those graduates were the ones who worked for the bosses who had no certificate.”

I believe this set of words has been said by many people, under the mainstream of “study hard”, there are always some people, will say to you that "study is useless."
But now looking back, is this statement really right?

In fact, those "Big CEO" who did not graduate from university that becomes successful is a minority, and even if they can succeed, it is because of their hard work and perseverance in their careers.

And the people who study hard, because they are willing to take a lot of patience and enthusiasm in the study, so they will be able to hold the same attitude towards other things in their future careers. How can such a person be not excellent?

Those admirable successes are earned by hard work.

The reunion party has confirmed that the people who have been diligent in study, in the end, they will do well in their life;

Those who love to be lazy in everything are seldom outstanding.
Seemingly useless "study", in fact, is to pave the future.

No one can casually to achieve success with laziness.

There are many ways to be successful, but there is only one reason for unsuccessful.
This reminds me of my old friend Ben.
Ben was my roommate at college, and after graduation, he went to a big company and stayed in that company for more than six years now. In the workplace for more than six years, Ben does not become who he imagined he would become, which is become the winner of life through hard work.

All along, Ben has worked hard, from a diligent workplace rookie slowly to the workplace of the awkward position of the seniors. Each year, he gets a salary increase that less than 1%. Looking at the fresh graduate around, every day looks vibrant, and his department head is younger than him, this puts him into meditation.

Ben thought it is time to move on. After graduating these years, Ben experiences the difficulty of finding a job. Supposedly, with his working experience, ability, and stability, he should be a particularly popular candidate. But without exception, there are quite a number of interview invitations, but doesn't have much followed up after the interview.

One time, Ben went for an interview, the interviewer asked him how well can he speak in English, he then carefully prepared an English self-introduction, but encountered a sudden English interview.

The interviewer then chats with Ben using English. Ben thought that he could smoothly proceed, but awkward speechless, reluctantly squeezed out a "My English is not very good", the final interview hastily ended. He realized that his English ability ruined his future.

If you hang out in a company every day, you can really goof around. But the longer you stay, the more you are destined to be overtaken by the junior. Because English is the ability which the senior management must have.

Opportunities are elusive, but they are always left for those who are prepared.

"Life does not go in vain, every step counts." and vice versa.
