The world -- especially today's world -- can really get you down. It's easy to start wondering if humanity is doomed, if anything will make a difference, if it's even possible at this stage to turn the world around. But then a piece like this comes along to remind you that nothing ever changes if people just give up. You start where you are. You do what you can. You work with what you have. And the next day you get up and do it again.
At some surprising moment, such dogged fidelity will change the world. This is an absolutely guaranteed physical and metaphysical certainty. With every contribution you make, the tolerant gesture, the encouraging smile, the kind word, the token of support, you push the world closer to the next tipping point where transition is inevitable. You may be only one person, but you are one of millions -- like-minded thinkers and do-ers determined to make it so. Your combined momentum is unstoppable.
I believe this devoutly. So, apparently, does @hopehuggs .

And here's another on how to be a better, wiser blogger. You can even boost your profits. Engage meaningfully with the people who stop off and leave great remarks in your comments section. It's a fine way to humanize yourself, to help your readers feel valued ... and keep them coming back for more.
(So ... clearly today's theme is Better Blogging!)

Well, the title pretty much speaks for itself. And it's more than an article. It's a mini-tutorial. Wouldn't it be wonderful to think you'd never have to wade through a day of the icky brown stuff again? Open the page and start reading. Maybe she's on to something!

If talk of crypto-currency and the blockchain makes you go cross-eyed, this piece by a guy who really knows his stuff (and has something to say) could help you straighten out again. I won't try to put words in his mouth. He can do that for himself. Here you go. Have a look.

@apanamamama writes a health-based post for her blog every Wednesday. This week she did a how-to piece on making your own roasted chickpeas snack. Now I've eaten my share of chips, I promise you. But as I get older, I'm more interested in snacks whose ingredients aren't unpronounceable-- ones I can season to my taste -- ones that are healthier than usual -- and ones whose components I can vouch for because I put them there.
For all these reasons, this one gets my vote. We may be trying them out ourselves this week-end.
