Monologue

Hello everyone, today marked “D-day” on my calendar. As it marked the day which life will change dramatically for me. (At least on the mental level until official physical action happens)

Whether there are parallel universes, who knows. Fallen to ground zero, half a century on this Earth is certainly memorable. I think back to my 21st birthday and I was involved in a military road march. Never really had a good birthday really. It is like a non-event just like every other holiday. Christmas , Chinese New Year, they come and they Go. Non-events.

Last week, we heard of a suicide case. An acquaintance decided to take his own life due to consequences of some mistakes which landed him in the wrong side of the law. I assumed that translated to financial demise and some jail term. No one would choose death if they could see a way out of the situation.

We have to take every obstacle that come in our way and conquer them. Some times we overcome, sometimes we fall. That’s what experience is made of.

My world has changed from a colour perspective to a black and white one. But I try to carry a smile, as happiness is a state of mind.... and maybe the colours are just distractions afterall.
