I saw this yesterday and I couldn't hold my tears, a group of young boys picking things from the waste dump, this has made me to think about many things, why is this world like this? Some people are living in happiness others are mourning, even though we see this things as life but the truth is we deserve more than this, what did I do when I saw them? I just took a photo without helping them and I think I am not just wicked maybe I am worst than those who have failed to provide for these kids. This is painful I am ashamed of myself, I didn't realize what I did until I got home, I kept beating myself. Please don't ignore when you can help!

We have a lot of that in Venezuela. So much so it does not shock us anymore. Now we see people eating from the garbage and we get mad because they are spreading garbage all over, tearing the plastic bag, making the towns look worse that ever.

I have written lots of post about this situation. I think that there are some things we cannot change (at least inmediately) and we can only do so much.

Showing this reality is a way of helping. Many people learned about how serious the Venezuelan situation was thanks to bloggers who took pictures and wrote about horrible things that are happening now ona daily basis.

It would be nice, of course, if we could put money or food in their hands. But if the overall situation, the inequality and injustice is not corrected, no money or food we give them will ever sufice.
At least you did not ignore what you saw. That's a first step.

Sorry I didn't see this comment earlier. I felt bad when I saw that but worse when I didn't help them, so sad about the situation in Venezuela, things are really getting bad in some countries, people are suffering...
