Definition of listen
[verb, noun] paying attention to sb/sth , that you can hear. Example: Please talk I am listening. What is that you wanted to talk about am listening.
Do you listen when people talk to you? A listening ear is very important, sometimes I am in trouble or I have problems and I just want to talk to someone, not like I want solutions or I want them to solve my problems, I just want someone to listen to me. Please always grant someone a listening ear.

Lending an ear can be a instrumental in life and death. As the suicide rate increases in the USA and around the world, something as simple as listening to them can possibly save them. It can also just make someone feel good, knowing someone cares. Many other reasons too boot
