Who Is Perfect? Who Can Be A Saint?

There are no winners in the "saint game", and perfection is a consistent striving for an ideal in our minds. With that said, indeed, I begin this article. The saint game is the same as the martyr game, and the perfection striving: There are not any winners except for the ones who do it the "worst". Here is what I mean by the "worst": The one who can immolate themselves the most, and destroy themselves with total denial of themselves, or in plain English: A saint or perfectionist comes down to "who can sacrifice themselves the most out of everyone striving to sacrifice themselves 'heroically'."

Sure, ego is the perceived best friend and genuine worst enemy of those who want to be perfect or saints in the eyes of others, but those doing these deeds to be saints or perfect do not think so. It is the same principle as "those who really are being brainwashed never know that they are brainwashed". In short, ego is a big confidence person stealing your peace and that is it. Like the philanthropist with hundreds of magazine covers on their desks and saying "look at the good I have done!", when just the opposite is happening in their reality. So, yes, I am saying the equivalent of anyone who says they are a saint, is the ultimate sinner. The equivalent of a genius that proclaims themselves an expert is a moron who has found their ultimate limitations like the "Achilles Heel" of Superman is Kryptonite and the weakness of the perfectionist is a mistake, even a simple one.

So as my fingers play upon my keyboard writing, I say this with baited breath: I see what Napoleon Hill means by 'stupid sayings' like "for every adversity there is an equivalent benefit" or "once you have found the limitations of a person, that is the end and finish of them". For me, I can honestly say "Failure, then what? There is always a chance to bounce back as long as energy exists." Indeed, the ultimate "Satan" is perfection and limitations. The ultimate devil is the finish line of reality. After all, what happens after you really do reach perfection? Do you find something else to do?

The other night, I was watching "Star Trek: The Motion Picture", it was about a being that honestly said "Is this all perfection and the ideal is?" after gathering "all the knowledge and power in the universe and having seen it all!" Perfection and sainthood do not work, it is only growth, work and consciousness that does work. I end with two quotes by Lao Tzu:

"If you over esteem great men,
people become powerless.
If you over value possessions,
people begin to steal.

The Master leads
by emptying people's minds
and filling their cores,
by weakening their ambition
and toughening their resolve.
He helps people lose everything
they know, everything they desire,
and creates confusion
in those who think that they know.

Practice not-doing,
and everything will fall into place."

and

"Life is a series of natural and spontaneous changes. Don't resist them - that only creates sorrow. Let reality be reality. Let things flow naturally forward in whatever way they like."
