Hi I'm Danny! I'm travelling around the world! Follow my posts.

We went over to the other side of the island today to a place called Kizimkazi. A slow paced fishing village where nothing much seems to happen. We planned to go swimming with Dolphins.

Whilst this was an amazing opportunity to swim with dolphins and see them out in the wild, but there are also consequences.

There are no regulations on dolphin tourism here, and there are lots of boats, and lots of visitors. The boats almost seem to fight for the best position in order to give tourists the best view.

African Impact are doing research here on the effects of tourism on the dolphins behaviour and numbers. They want to know if it is sustainable.

Alongside this research they are promoting more ethical ways to run these tours by training boat drivers and tour companies. They are also teaching conservation education to local primary schools.

It was an unforgettable experience to swim in the dolphins natural habitat but I definitely had contradicting feelings knowing that something needs to be done to protect these magnificent creatures.

I would love to swim with them, but on the other hand, we need to protect them and don't interfere with their natural habitat

They are very fast, you can't swim as they))

It must be something amazing to swim with the dolphins in their own habitat, but I think that if the tourism is too massive they should have some kind of control by the authorities of the area since as in everything if it is not used correctly it will be to the detriment of the animals and their environment.

The scene was too good make happy too seen this :)

This is something more incredible for me Swimming with Dolphins

man lucky you :) , I love your posts. looking forward to your next post

Swimming with dolphins is one of the most amazing things I have ever done, I was lucky enough to do it in New Zealand. The way those guys interact with humans is something else! Did you have to sing underwater to them or blow bubbles?
