Colombia: We reached the hidden city deep in the Jungle!
Hi I'm Danny! I'm travelling around the world! Follow me here.

In part four we trekked through rivers to come within one day of the hidden city. The journey continues and we finally arrive!

The entrance is up a really steep path of cobbled steps.

This is one fragment of who knows how many settlements and remains of lost cities in this jungle.
This whole area was discovered quite recently. It was totally engulfed in jungle and vegetation. This discovery happened much more recently than Machu Picchu in Peru, which has become a huge tourist hub. In comparison to Machu Picchu which has thousands of tourists a day (largely helped by a train service that runs right up to the entrance!) our group of ten arrived in total isolation.

This experience was without a doubt much more enjoyable and special than when I visited Machu Picchu. The long three day trek with plenty of sweating and hard work pays of when you arrive to this absolute isolated bliss. I'll leave you with these photos...

Awesome man I will go there some day! Great photos!
Awesome photos you have got there! I just love the scenery of the rainforest that are depicted in your wonderful photography. It's always a pleasure to see people appreciating nature and its beauties - we should all do our part to cherish the environment so that we can see this for many years to come. Hope you had fun with your travels there!
Wow such pretty pictures. You have a nice travel blog. Followed :)
Whoa! Looks almost surreal!
Awesome keep it coming
That's awesome! I enjoyed Machu Picchu but the crowds definitely take away a lot of the magic.
If I go back to Colombia I want to check this out.
Following.
It looks amazing, I love looking at your travel photos :)
Wow. What an amazing place.
You can check mine photos if you like to.
So Awesome and amazing. Thanks for sharing always
Man, it must be great to visit such beautiful places. And I like to do hiking and obviously to discover the hardest accessible places. I recommend you to come to Romania to go hiking in the Carpathian mountains and the trails of the Retezat Mountains.
