Travel with Barry: E. 4 - The Western Canada Roadtrip Continues: | Mountains & Vancouver area Beaches! BC Lifestyle. (British Columbia)
The journey continues today from my roadtrips around North America.
You have to remember, these pictures are from 2006 and so is the technology I was using then. Digital Cameras were not what they are today, so the quality suffers.
North Van- (the North Shore of Vancouver)- shot from the Lions Gate Bridge where the massive bridge spans across part of the mouth of the Pacific Ocean area that enters the Vancouver area. It links 2 parts of the Vancouver area.
You can drive/bike/walk across, which I did all the time when I was here for weeks. It was common for me to just stop and hang out there looking around or take a photo or 2, no matter what time of the day or night I was crossing, or which side / way I was heading.
This shot just here above I did not take, but I have some like it in my collection. Just to give you an idea of the size and location/geography here.
Some History on the Lions Gate Bridge:
It links the North Shore of Vancouver to Stanley Park (the island there) with the Mountain Ranges and the Mainland of Vancouver proper.
The North Shore has a few mountain ranges you can see some of in my photos, and is heading to Whistler on the 99 North (Sea to Sky Highway)
The famous "island" you see where the Vancouver Seawall and Aquarium are (The "island" is called Stanley Park, and everything I just mentioned here are literally world famous places / attractions) , it is really something!
Looking across the Vancouver (Downtown / West Side areas) and one of the North Shore Mountain Ranges.
The World famous Kits Beach in the Kitsilano district right on the water. Lots of World Class Beach Volleyball happens here on the Burrard Inlet -- right on the Pacific Ocean!
I used to play at a semi pro level, so I spent a LOT of time down here --- even on days I did not play at all.
There is a lot of things to do and see in this area, believe me!!!

Why This Series, Barry?
I was driving across the country here and there and have TONS of photos from my various journey around North America.
I decided to start posting some of them since some people have encouraged me to post more personal things over the months which I have done.
This set is from my Cross Country Mission Trip in 2006 where I called it Coast to Coast w. the Holy Ghost LOL.
My Philosophy In Daily Life & Travels:

I have always tried to be kind to people every day, as part of my life Philosophy, since I have always believed we can achieve more TOGETHER.
Technically lately the last while I started posting travel pictures, and never thought of starting another series with them, which is funny, because I have come up with and run so many series' here on Steemit LOL.
My path to Crypto is with you guys and we are on the path to Liberty.
We are all early adopters here, if you are even close to reading this today.
Be encouraged.

I've spent so much time there in all those areas that one summer, I really paid attn and was active getting to know all the areas.
My real estate experience since 1991 really helped me.
Though I did cry one night driving thru West Van looking at houses..... and the prices there LOL

Just looks so odd seeing a beach with skyscrapers like that in the background. I guess I’m just use to seeing giant hotels behind you as you’re on the beach.

I've spent extended time down around St. Pete Beach / Madeira Beach / etc in the past and played hockey down there too.
I've seen the hotels on the beaches, etc etc.
I will be heading out for my physio/exercise soon and thinking of you man, keep up your good work on the diet and exercise buddy.

I did think of you man, but today was HARD.
Then 12 mins in my watch completely died battery wise..... and I had to stop at public facilities along the way to keep track of the time because I track and use my stopwatch every day for my progress and to stay consistent and push myself further every 14 days.
Vancouver is pretty! The lions gate bridge is beautiful. That's awesome you said if your even close to reading this when it's out then be encouraged!
I took that encouragement as I seem to be a tad bit "unencouraged" on Steemit at times lately but so truly love it here, I think it's the future in many ways for sure. Thank you!

You could remaster it on your phone or another photo applocation to increase the saturation, contrast. Still cool regardless!
