Random Japan #20 :: After The Fall
All that remains is sakura circles.
And... they are over already. The cherry blossoms didn't last long this year. It got warm too quickly, causing them to go from 0% to 100% within a day or two, then fall very shortly after. Oh well—we enjoyed them while they were here!
Since there are so many cherry trees all over the city (every city in Japan), when they fall the streets temporarily turn pink and white from the petals. Here I found an interesting effect. Seems like the wind blew most of them away here, but those that found refuge in these ring patterns remain.

Who made those rings!? Sakura going crop circles on me lol that looks unusual but is it man made?
Aliens!! haha you picked up on my hint well ;) Actually, no, the circle carvings are in many places along this area. I guess it is for blind people, a more decorative marking than the usual yellow strip with bumps. Or maybe it's for decoration only. Some bored cement worker deciding to spice things up to make his work more interesting. Or, y'know, aliens. Could always be them.
