Total Deliverance #1. The Widow's Oil

I hope we are all enjoying our holidays. I am going to be sharing another series of article with you which I called Total Deliverance In this series, I am will be talking about those that receive their deliverance from the bible and the world we are in. This is to assure us that our deliverance is on the way. All is to believe and have the faith that you are going to receive yours.
The widow's Oil.
There was a woman who was a widow in the Book of 2Kings 4:1-7. She was a wife of a man from the company of the Prophets. The husband's creditor came to take away her two sons when she was unable to pay her husband debt. She was in deep trouble and needed to be delivered from it. The only thing she could think of is to go to prophet Elisha which is the best thing to do. If she decided to stay begging for help from her neighbors, maybe she would have loose her two sons and stay in the poverty forever.
1 The wife of a man from the company of the prophets cried out to Elisha, “Your servant my husband is dead, and you know that he revered the LORD. But now his creditor is coming to take my two boys as his slaves.”
Just like we too can do when we are in any kind of tribulation, when it seems like their is no way anymore. Calling unto God is the best solution for us at that moment. We can also go to His anointed servants for guidance just as the woman did if we are confused.
God Can Bless You with the Little You Have
Prophet Elijah asked her what he can do for her and what did she have. The widow told him that she has nothing but a small oil which is not even enough to cook. Even if she wanted to manage it, she has not a small flour to do so. She was instructed on what to do. She did as the prophet told her to do without adding or removing from it.
We should always follow the instructions of God and not rely on our own understanding. She could have question the man of God on how possible or realistic will the instruction be just like what most of us do but we have forgotten that with God, all things are possible.
It is called magic when we have nothing and we are expecting something and God do not work that way. He is not a magician but He will supply our need through what we have that is so small and send helper unto us.
2 Elisha replied to her, “How can I help you? Tell me, what do you have in your house?”
“Your servant has nothing there at all,” she said, “except a small jar of olive oil.”
3 Elisha said, “Go around and ask all your neighbors for empty jars. Don’t ask for just a few.
4 Then go inside and shut the door behind you and your sons. Pour oil into all the jars, and as each is filled, put it to one side.”
5 She left him and shut the door behind her and her sons. They brought the jars to her and she kept pouring. 6 When all the jars were full, she said to her son, “Bring me another one.”
But he replied, “There is not a jar left.” Then the oil stopped flowing.

What Next To Do When We Finally Make It
Most people will believe that since God has done it for them, all they need is to go and enjoy what they have. But it does not work like that. Since it is God that give us the instruction we use that makes us succeed in that thing we did or want, then why not go back to the same God for instruction on how to make use of that provision so that we won't miss use it and also to use it to His glory. This is where must of us fail in doing so. We just Go ahead to do what we like since we have it already. It is God that can Help us to maintain what we have in order to sustain us for as long as possible.
Just like the widow did. She went to Prophet Elisha after she has done has she has been instructed and got the reward for obeying, asking how to do the jars of oil she got. Then the Prophet told her to sell it all and pay her debt and use the remaining gain to feed herself and her children.
7 She went and told the man of God, and he said, “Go, sell the oil and pay your debts. You and your sons can live on what is left.”
Most people will think they are wise and will not bother to ask for another direct from God. Some will even say that the prophet will know what they have now and they did not want the prophet to know thinking that he will start to demand from them or to be able to fail in the aspect pf paying tithe and giving offerings to God.
This is the trick of the devil so that the blessing will not be permanent. I pray that we shall not loose our blessings to the deceit of satan in Jesus name.
In Conclusion, I want us to know that with God all things are possible. When we are in any kind of problem we can rely on Him for the best solution and the instructions to guide us on the maintenance of what we got from Him. He is there for us and all we have to do is just to call Him in any situation we are and have faith in Him. The widow was delivered from the grip of debt and was able to feed her family afterward.
