# The Attributes of God. Part Two. Moral Attributes of God (i): God Is Good.
Hello Friends,
Thanks for following the article The Attributes of God. Part One. Unique Attribute of God which has ended. I really appreciate you all. I am beginning the part two which I am starting now. God bless you as you follow.
The Introduction
Many characteristics of one true God, particularly His moral attributes, are similar to human qualities. However, the degree to which God possess these traits is unmatched in any human. For example, even though both God and humans possess the ability to love, no human is capable of loving to the degree and depth that God does. Also, we must kept in mind that our ability to exercise these similar characteristics is related to our being created in God's image (Genesis 1:26-27). In the other words, we are like Him; He is not like us.
Good and upright is the LORD; Therefore He instructs sinners in the way.- Psalm 25:8
Praise the LORD! Oh give thanks to the LORD, for He is good; For His lovingkindness is everlasting.- Psalm 106:1
“Why do you call Me good? Jesus replied, “No one is good except God alone."- Mark 10:18
God is Good
All that God originally created was good because it was an extension of His own nature Genesis 1:4, 10, 12, 18, 21, 25, 31). He continues to be good to His creation by caring and providing for all His creation (Psalm 104: 10-28). He even provides for the ungodly-those who ignore, defy, and reject Him (Matthew 5:45; Act 14:17). God is especially good to people who sincerely depend on Him(145:18-20).
