Psalm 121

I lift up my eyes to the mountains— where does my help come from?
My help comes from the Lord, the Maker of heaven and earth.
He will not let your foot slip— he who watches over you will not slumber;
indeed, he who watches over Israel will neither slumber nor sleep.
The Lord watches over you— the Lord is your shade at your right hand;
the sun will not harm you by day, nor the moon by night.
The Lord will keep you from all harm—he will watch over your life;
the Lord will watch over your coming and going both now and forevermore.

Our Helps Comes From The Lord

We must never view family, friends or wealth as our main source of help in this life. The position belongs to God. He is the only complete source for meeting our needs physically or spiritually. We must trust in Him with all our hearts and depend on Him for mercy and help "in our time of need".
Hebrew 4:16 says we should approach the throne of grace with confidence , so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need.

The Lord Watches Over Us

God's faithful followers are always under the Lord's protection, defense and watchful care. Jesus emphasized this truth when He said, "The very hairs of your head are all numbered. So don't be afraid" (Matthew 10:30-31).
The essential condition required for God's protection is "faith". His special guarding over our lives is not automatic or by chance; it comes into effect "through faith" just as it is only "through faith" that believers are saved in the first place (Ephesians 2:8).
Believers are "shielded by God's power" against satan's forces of evil that seek to destroy their lives and rob them of their faith and spiritual salvation (2 timothy 4:18).

Watch Over Our Coming And Going

This can be applied both both spiritually and Physically.
(1) God guards our spiritual well-being from the time we receive Christ's forgiveness and entrust our lives to Him until we leave this life to be with God forever.
(2) He also guides and protects our physical lives as we go out in the morning to school work or wherever we must go until we return home to rest. He is our constant protector.

In conclusion, it is God that can keep, guard and guide us for as long as we live on this earth. With Him by our side, satan cannot harm us in any way. Let's have faith in Him and He will prove Himself as "The Lord Our Keeper".
