Finally crossed over

Greetings from Texas, USA. I am Joe, and I have been sitting just on the periphery of steemit pretty much since the beginning. I was an early Bitshares adopter, getting on the ground floor as an AGS investor. I have been part of the larger crypto community since 2013, shortly after I heard about the "bail-in" in Cypress and deciding that I would rather not have the government overseeing my wealth anymore. That's when I dove into Bitcoin for the first time and began exploring the fascinating world of decentralization and blockchain-based assets and organizations.

I live in Dallas with my wife of four years and my daughter, who is coming up on her first birthday. I also have three older children from marriage number one.

Among my interests are libertarian philosophy and ideas, music (I am an avid live music fan who began learning the bass guitar about three years ago), and all things "disruptive, whether it be in education or employment or technology or the economy. I will also be writing extensively on the Paleo diet, to which I credit bringing me from extreme obesity to a manageable weight and a healthy, more energetic lifestyle without worrying about how much I eat or counting calories.
