The emotions are always intense during they perform "zvončarsko kolo"
I'm continuing to post the carnival photos I made on the bell-carriers parade this year in Matulji, Croatia. In this episode I'm presenting the group which members are from two neighboring hills but united together in carnival activities - Vlahov breg & Korensko.
Like many Croatian traditional bell-carriers groups, this one is also lead by children holding a sign with the group's name. Behind the children, also the bend is playing live music.

Even much older members participate in the tradition by performing this group's special arrangement of movement while parading the streets & marching on walkabouts.
It's rare to see a natural orange beard amongst the bell-carriers in Croatia.
"Zvončarsko kolo" is a peak of every bell-carriers group & they are performing it many times during the parades & walkabouts.
These are the best moments of bell-carriers to shoot - to catch the passion & the sincirely spontaneous face expressions.
It's nice to see 3 different generations together performing the traditional carnival activities.
A bit of posing for the numerous photographers has also become kind of traditional nowadays.
All the upper shots I made with Nikon D800 & Sigma 105 mm 1:2.8 DG Macro HSM lens & for the self-portrait below I used the same camera but different lens - Nikon AF Nikkor 35-70 mm.
