Light in the Dark
This little guy is a member of a traditional Croatian carnival bell-carrier group from Veli brgud. It is a small village on the mountain Ćićarija, Croatia, situated North from my hometown Opatija towards the border with Slovenija. This shot I made during the annual bell-carriers gathering-parade in Matulji, Croatia just few months ago. In this moment the night was slowly coming & the day was darker anyway cause of the cloudy sky. There was a lot of grown-ups surrounding the kid - that is why I gave it this name cause the kid was really breaking the darkness with his bright colors against the incoming night & the cloudy sky but also the very essence of this child, the purity & the innocents against the mostly already ruined grown-ups makes this kid shining same like the Light in the Darkness!

The upper shot I made with Nikon D800 & Sigma 105 mm 1:2.8 DG Macro HSM lens & for the self-portrait below I used the same camera but different lens - Nikon AF Nikkor 35-70 mm..
