As I announced a few days ago, I'm here to bring you a new contest.

I came up with this new contest because it is fun and could generate a good amount of interest and activity among us on the platform.

Se me ocurrió este nuevo concurso porque es divertido y podría generar una buena cantidad de interés y actividad entre nosotros en la plataforma.

This is a Top 5 contest. As the name suggests, you guys will have to elaborate your own Top 5... About what? About a specific topic I will give you every week.

Este es un concurso de Top 5. Como el nombre lo sugiere, ustedes tendrán que elaborar su propio Top 5... ¿Sobre qué? Sobre un tema específico que les daré cada semana.

I hope steemers of diverse communities can join this challenge.

Espero que steemers de las diversas comunidades puedan unirse a este desafío.

Demonstration (I will keep it in one language, since it is only a demonstration)

To make this top, I based it in the bands I listen to the most and that I consider superior in terms of music. Personally, I don't own the complete discography of all the mentioned bands, and I consider that some bands that are not in this Top may be better in some aspects (live performance, influence, sales, etc), but this is about our preferences, so here we go:

5. Stratovarius

This is a Power Metal band from Finland. Definitely one of the best I've ever heard.

4. Epica

Excellent band in its first 4 albums. They are a Symphonic Metal band original from the Netherlands. They have the 4th place in this top, because the female vocalist, Simone Simmons, has a very poor vocal live performance.

3. Nightwish

This is a Symphonic Metal band from Finland (yes, Finland has many awesome musicians). It could have been my favorite band, but its first female vocalist, Tarja Turunen, whose voice made me fall in love with this band was fired in 2005. Their first 5 albums were just perfect and so were their live performances with that vocalist.

2. Haggard

This is a Symphonic Metal band from Germany. Their sound is hallucinating! They are such talented musicians. You should listen to their album Eppur Si Muove which is inspired in Galileo Galilei. Truly amazing!

1. Iron Maiden

This band is just too special. In my opinion, it has everything a good band should have. It is a Heavy Metal band from the UK, and the best of them all. Ignoring the 2 post Dickinson albums before his return to the band, all the albums are pure perfection. The true definition of Heavy Metal!
