ProWriters Hub Week 7: Take A Look At My Town In 10 Pictures!

Greetings to you all, I welcome you back to my blog once again to enjoy another exciting tour of my beautiful city, Aba with me in this ten captivating pictures. Tighten your seatbelts and let's move.
Picture 01: Globus Bank

This is a new generation bank that was opened in the city of Aba recently. It's located at Eziukwu Road, the former Access Bank building. Although I haven't been there before but I guess they will be offering efficient services to their customers.
Picture 2: Ekeoha Shopping Centre

This shopping center has been in existence for so many years. It's usually called Aba Shopping center. Electronic appliances, gadgets and kitchen appliances are sold here. Also ankara fabrics, lace materials, bale materials and cloth accessories, shoes, bags, headties, autogele, and other materials for decorations. People from far and near visit this market on a daily basis and it generates huge income for the state.
Picture 3: 5 Storey Building

This 5-storey building is located along 148 Azikiwe Road. It's both a residential and office building. If you look closely you will see Imo Broadcasting Corporation (IBC), Aba township office. It also houses a law firm, medical laboratory and other businesses.

This is one of the social clubs in Aba. It was established in the year 1934 and it's located at York Street by Park Road, Aba. As the name stands it has a spacious hall for events like weddings, child dedications etc.
Picture 5: Dim Agwụ Agwụ Plaza

This 3 storey plaza is located at 36 Asa Road. many business operations are carried out here. Looking closely you will see Ever Daniel Creative prints, Anik eye clinic, skill acquisition center etc. The building is strategically located such that anyone around Azikiwe/Asa road will see it.
Picture 6: Bata Junction

Bata junction is one of the popular and busiest junctions in Aba. The name Bata was gotten from a leather school footwear manufacturing industry that was located around the juction. This bata school footwear was mostly worn by school students before the 90's, I remember using one that my sister handed to me. One unique thing about this footwear is that it was manufactured with pure leather, it's durable and lasts. This juction connects factory road down to Aba Owerri Road, Ikot Ekpene Road down to waterside-Ogbor hill, Asa road down to main park, Port Harcourt road.
Picture 7: Jaybest Furniture & Electronics Plaza

This plaza is located at Factory road and its a home for all types of electronics like home theater, television, fans, DVD, and furniture for homes, offices, schools, restaurants, hotels etc. Jaybest is also a major dealer of Samsung and LG products.
Picture 8: Easy On Filling Station

Easy On filling Station has many branches in Aba, and this one located along Park road by York street. It sells petroleum products like fuel, diesel, kerosene, gas, engine oil, gear oil, etc. I have patronized them before and I can say they offer services are good.
Picture 9: Mercy Girls Secondary School (MGSS)

Mercy Girls secondary school is a female catholic school, exclusive boarding located at Omoba Road, Ogbor Hill Aba. It's managed by Reverend Sisters of the congregation of Daughters of Mary Mother of Mercy (DMMM).
This school has been in existence for more than twenty years and has produced so many scholars and professionals in several fields.
Picture 10: St Michael's Anglican Cathedral
Church of Nigeria, Anglican Communion has Diocese of Aba as one of its dioceses with the bishopric seat at St Michael's Anglican Cathedral, Aba. St Michael's road was named after this church.

Your town is really great as there are storey buildings and other things,aba is really a nice place for us all to live as it helps both the rich and the young.
My city, Aba is a beautiful place with hard working and industrious people. It is still developing, in few years to come, the former glory of Aba will return.

This is actually my first time of hearing about globus bank, maybe it's global hence the name, and the structure is pretty nice
The name is catchy and easy to pronounce, that's a good selling point. Well they have been operating in other states, Lagos, Abuja, Port Harcourt and now Aba. Guess Uyo will be the next point of call. Nkor, Ákwá-Ibom ayaya ntom 😅

The bank has been operating in other states like Lagos, Abuja, Port Harcourt, and Aba is the newest branch which started operations recently.

The 5 storey building is not far from Steemit office. Aba is so big that many important places I Aba has not been shown. Keep trying.

wow I can't believe ABA city is this beautiful. you talk about "Globus Bank", I believe this must be a bank, because I have never heard of it before. But anyway the building is looking good.

Like I said in my post, Globus bank is one of the newest generation banks in Nigeria, with branches at Abuja, Port Harcourt, Lagos. The Aba branch is its newest branch and started operations 2 months ago.

I understand your concern on the not too beautiful 5 Storey Building but you see, that particular building has been standing for years now serving its purpose which is to generate revenue for the owner. Maybe the paintings aren't too colorful, but I tell you they are quality ones.

The Ekeoha Shopping Centre is also a super place for shopping and some other purposes.
I have a question for you "Have you ever spent the whole day wondering here or for shopping?
I guess no one would want to spend a whole day shopping or wandering around the market. Actually, my job takes me around the town and I do use that opportunity to capture some pictures but the day I took this one, I had gone to the market to make inquiries about something.
