It was her cousin Bridget, beside her was the youngest sister Gretchen.

"You came, I thought you wouldn't bother besides aren't you above using connections to get a job" Bridget said so loudly that anyone could hear

"You must be wandering why Elliot ain't here to receive you. Just so you know, he had other actual important things to do, so grandma decided to leave the unimportant ones to me. Emphasis on unimportant" she smirked

"Oh! I guess grandma can only trust you with unimportant things then, that's no news Bridget" Eliora retorted

"Yeah right! Unimportant things like yourself!" Bridget scoffed

"You should even be grateful I was willing to take up your matter" she added

"But sister didn't you beg to handle it" Gretchen who was standing beside Bridget asked with a puzzled expression

"Of course not! Why would I?" Bridget glared at her sister

"You did, you even said you would use this opportunity to teach Eliora a very good lesson" She argued

"Senseless fool" Bridget glared hard as she walked ahead

"Come along cousin, you would be sisters third assistant. Hopefully, she teaches you the good lesson she promised cause she's more of a nagger than an actual teacher" Gretchen sighed

"Look at me, five years under her and all I'm good at is being senseless and foolish" she blabbed on

Out of all the things that Gretchen said, the only ones that managed to stick with Eliora was; you would be sister's third assistant!

Bridget's assistant?!

She could have known earlier so she might as well dress like an actual slave instead. Bridget's third assistant was just a fashionable name for an elevated servant.

A part of her wanted to leave but her legs still progressed forward. If she left now, it was going to seem like she left because she was given a lowly position and worst, how was she going to explain it to her mom?

Well, as long as Bridget refrained from intentionally making things hard for her then all the hairs on her head could still be complete. She was no pushover neither did she want their inheritance to begin with.

No, she didn't want any petty inheritance, she wanted it all; the Roosevelts Enterprise, their mansion, all of it.

"Are you?" Gretchen tugged at Eliora bringing her back from her thoughts

"Yeah??!" Eliora replied puzzled

Apparently, Gretchen had previously asked a question but Eliora already zoned out and didn't get the question.

"I knew it" Gretchen smiled and made a little victory jump

It was at this moment Eliora noticed what the little woman was putting on. She had a big pink bow headband on and a simply princessy gown.

Even at the Anderson home, the previous day, she had some sparkly, shiny princess gown on. Aiden should nitpick on this one.

"You don't have to be shy, we are quite many" Gretchen continue

"We?" Eliora frowned

By we, exactly who was the woman referring to.

"Aiden Winthrop's fan club silly, you just said yes, that you are member of the fan club. I already guessed it, though" she smiled

Aiden Winthrop's fan club?! Was there such a thing like that? The punk even had a fan club. He might as well had gone ahead to be a celebrity.

"Did you hear, our dear Aiden is still in a coma but good news is that he has the best doctors at his disposal so he would be back on his feet soon enough" Gretchen continued

Still in a coma, that meant the news about his death was not out yet at least to the general public.

"It must be a trying time for the Winthrop's. I do hope they scale through" she sighed

Bridget left the task of showing her around to the talkative Gretchen.

So at the very worst, she had to endure listening to the family tree of the Winthrop's.
