At The Dinner Table

Soon the other guest arrived but Eliora was still stuck in the bathroom. Madam Roosevelt, the matriarch of the Roosevelts family, finally walked down the stairs.

It was already time for breakfast, the table was filled to the brim with various traditional delicacies but then two seats were left vacant.

Madam Roosevelt paused her steps and stamped her walking stick aggressively on the floor. Everyone knew how much she despised lateness especially during family meetings yet they dare to test her patience.

The first seat which was besides hers belonged to her favourite person in the family, her precious adopted grandson. He already called ahead of time to inform her of the difficulties on his part.

After returning back to the country, he had began handling most of the family's businesses so definitely he was busy and she understood that but what she didn't understand was the other vacant seat.

It was supposed to be for her late son's only daughter, a certain Eliora Roosevelt. Some young lady dare to keep the whole family waiting. Now, such disrespect, she could never condone.

Elliot walked out of the male restroom after answering a call. He was on his way to the dining room when he overheard some noise from the female restroom.

"Hey!!! Open this door, will you?" Eliora yelled

How can a human being be so malicious? She had only set foot in the house this one time and they were already locking her up in restrooms.

"Is there anybody out there?" She banged harder on the door

The old lady of the Roosevelts particular despised lateness and now she was locked up. This definitely could not have been a coincidence. Was Hara, her supposed Aunt this threatened by her existence?

"Those witches!" She banged the door one last time

"This trick... How obsolete!" Aiden sighed

How unpopular and powerless was the girl that someone will dare to play a toilet trick on her. This will surely delay the trip to the hospital.

So unfortunate! Of all the people in the world, he had to be stuck in the body of a weakling who was bullied by her family.

Eliora had already given up when she heard the sound of the door being unlocked. The door was pushed open and right in front of her was her cousin, Elliot.

"Eliora!" He called out with furrowed brows

She was the last person he expected to see in the Roosevelts Villa.

"Eliora!!" He said with more certainty this time

"How did you...?" He paused

There was no way she could have locked herself up. The door was locked from the outside so it was surely someone else's doing.

"Let's go, we are already late. Grandma will be displeased"

"I'm glad to see you" he added with a smile

Eliora nodded relieved. Elliot was one of the very few people that could still be considered a human being among the Roosevelts.

She wasn't particularly close to him but they had met occasionally and she had a good impression of him. He was the grandson the Old madam adopted after her father passed away.

She adopted him to fill the void of her late son besides she had never liked her mom, Joan so she wasn't willing to accept them back then.

"Come on" he took the lead
